Just bust a teammate's knee in judo.

It's not the start to the day I wanted.

*Update his knee is fine just a broken leg*

1. Stay the feck home where possible. Dress extra warm. When need, kill a deer and live insode its guts like Bear grylls.

2. Make sure you cars are always full on gas, keep blankets, extra clothes, shovel, sand, shoes in the boot of your car etc

3. Park in your garage (if you have one). Keep your car battery powered (buy car battery charger and actually use it) and up to snuff.

4. Keep the house as warm as comfortable. Extra space heaters on only in rooms you are in (if needed). We dont do this but have in the past. They can be fire hazards!

5. In terms of insulation, our attics are full of it.. some homes maybe newer ones have better design/tech insulatiom, cement water proofing etc. Make sure your gutters are tip top, check outside foundation around house in fall/spring etc and deal with anything. Make sure you have the best insulation where possible.   Install those plastic over the glass to stop air leaks..caulk away

6. Its usually not so bad to be honest. Might be like this for a few days then goes to -3 etc. There are a few times where it can be that way for weeks in end. Depenxs on the polar vortex crap. We are in a generally warmer area of canada in the greater Toronto area. In northern canada or ontario etc it can be -30, -40 sometimes. Insanity!

The cold was cool when younger, but as i age it can fuk right off. Would need to move to the caribbean lol.
