hebangsthedrums Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 You're off again! It's funny how the anti-Shush! brigade are always given the last word on closed threads but the stats speak for themselves and if people think Mattock's going to provide our attacking answers then I'll be amazed. Perfectly happy, but amazed. And even more amazed if Laczko does it. If the stats spoke for themselves your post count would be down about 5k!
Phube Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Max-Alain Gradel has just scored for Bournemouth. Is he related to Leicester's Max Gradel??
Bryn Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Max-Alain Gradel has just scored for Bournemouth. Is he related to Leicester's Max Gradel?? No no. MA Gradel is on a rolling contract
lildave3 Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 BTW Gradel's goal was a 30 yard volley! Best news of the day so far.
Joe. Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Wahey some good news. I'm looking forward to getting him back in the Summer, I've got high hopes for this lad.
lcfc_jme Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Wahey some good news.I'm looking forward to getting him back in the Summer, I've got high hopes for this lad. Why? He'll just be left out of the game anyway in favour of our preferred hoofball tactics. Bori and Lackzo are meant to be proper wingers, yet we still play hoofball. I fail to see why Holloway would change our style of play specifically to incorporate Gradel? That's not to say I don't want the lad to succeed. He sounds promising.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 I think it's depressing that Gradel isn't in our first team.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 By the way, three of them played in the same game today and apparently Hayes murdered Shush!.
Thracian Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 By the way, three of them played in the same game today and apparently Hayes murdered Shush!. Which does beg the question why couldn't we get that sort of performance from Hayes - not even once.
hebangsthedrums Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Which does beg the question why couldn't we get that sort of performance from Hayes - not even once. In your eyes maybe, I'd guess for most others it would illustrate the defensive frailties of Mr S. Still at least he's getting games
gibbom Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 i think everyone will agree but get gradel back now his goal was wicked for bourmath i've also heard that he has torn teams apart in previous weeks n i want his hair
lavrentis Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Cracking goal, and he plays for Bournemouth
Simi Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Which does beg the question why couldn't we get that sort of performance from Hayes - not even once. I disagree. Thought Hayes did show some bright sparks when he played. Very direct and did seem to have a mean cross on him. Little unfortunate to be shoved out. But Holloway made it clear that he wasn't a fan of him.
Bryn Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Which does beg the question why couldn't we get that sort of performance from Hayes - not even once. Maybe Hayes had never played against such a defensively poor fullback before.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I really think that our young players could benefit from this experience, because I don't think that there is a vast void in quality between the Championship and League 1, as teams such as Bristol City and Blackpool are proving at the minute. I, like a few others on here, thought Hayes showed little glimpses of what he can do but he didn't do it enough. If he does a good job at Northampton I think that he deserves a fair chance here next year. Gradel seems to have become something of a talisman for Bournemouth this year, and has earned his chance purely for the amount of goals that he seems to create and also the goals that he scores (a good amount for a winger). I'm not so sure about Dodds, but I'd like to see him given a start at least, everyone deserves a chance.
The People's Hero Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Maybe Hayes had never played against such a defensively poor fullback before. Surely he must have lined up against Shee han in training from time to time?
Jimmy Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Surely he must have lined up against Shee han in training from time to time? no, clearly that must of been left for Hume to do ...
The Stig Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 I disagree.Thought Hayes did show some bright sparks when he played. Very direct and did seem to have a mean cross on him. Little unfortunate to be shoved out. But Holloway made it clear that he wasn't a fan of him. I totally agree. I have high hopes for Hayes.
teblin Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Just watched gradels goal it certainly was a corker.
The People's Hero Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Just watched gradels goal it certainly was a corker. Yeah, he certainly is devil-may-care and effective going forward, perhaps we should play him at left back.
Joe. Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 If anybody wants to see it: http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/l...1237406,00.html
