Mark Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Billy Mckay scored tonight in Hinckley's 1-0 win over Alfreton.
Flynny Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Thought Hayes did show some bright sparks when he played. Very direct and did seem to have a mean cross on him. Little unfortunate to be shoved out. But Holloway made it clear that he wasn't a fan of him. Not true. Holloway's told him he wants him here next season, apparantly, with a bit of experience under his belt.
Joe. Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Not true. Holloway's told him he wants him here next season, apparantly, with a bit of experience under his belt. Makes sense really. But he did refer to him as "MK Dons substitute" in a post-match interview once.
Thracian Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Not true. Holloway's told him he wants him here next season, apparantly, with a bit of experience under his belt. That'll be Porter gone then!
Simi Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Not true. Holloway's told him he wants him here next season, apparantly, with a bit of experience under his belt. Makes sense really. But he did refer to him as "MK Dons substitute" in a post-match interview once. Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I'm glad he seems to be in his plans though, I thought he always did a steady job when he played for us.
Flynny Posted 12 February 2008 Posted 12 February 2008 Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I'm glad he seems to be in his plans though, I thought he always did a steady job when he played for us. He did, yeah. Belting cross on him.
Dames Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 That'll be Porter gone then! Yup and about time too
ronnup Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Thanks for that Joe, bloody corker of a goal! wecould use a lad like that.
pauliepaul Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 you will definately be after Porter, doubt you will get a look in for Sinclair now thou - he is the sort of quality you need to save the club from relegation and push on.

Mark Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 3:43 Foul by Conrad Logan(Stockport) on Efetobore Sodje(Bury). Conrad Logan(Stockport) dismissed for serious foul play. County were leading 1-0 when the Irishman rolled the ball out of his box unaware that Efe Sodje was behind him.The former Macclesfield defender got to the ball first and was pulled back by Logan just as he was about to shoot into the unguarded net. Oh dear
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 STAR winger Maxi Gradel has spoken warmly about Cherries' loyal followers after his performances this season elevated him to hero status on the terraces. The Leicester City loan man has fast become a big favourite among fans because of his highly impressive efforts for Kevin Bond's side. He scored a fantastic long-range rocket at Luton Town last week, which he ranks among his best strikes, and has become well known for his keen eye for goal. And the Ivorian, whose seven goals and exciting wing-play have captured the imagination of the Dean Court faithful this term, paid tribute to the contribution of Cherries' fans to his good form. Speaking exclusively to the Daily Echo, Gradel said: "The fans make me happier and more confident. They make me work harder for them, so I'm very pleased with that (the cheering)." Gradel's goal tally is even more impressive given that he missed about six weeks of the season on compassionate leave. But, having only been back in the country a matter of hours, the winger showed his commitment to the Cherries cause by playing a starring role in the dramatic FA Cup win over Barrow in November. Despite Bond's team being rooted deep in the League One drop zone following the 10-point deduction brought on by the club going into administration last week, Gradel has not given up hope of avoiding relegation. He said: "It is getting hard now with 10 points deducted but I'm enjoying it. "If we believe in ourselves we can definitely do it. "Everything is happy and everyone is happy at the moment." http://www.thisisbournemouth.co.uk/display....2049393.0..php
Wezleylowski Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Max Gradel is my hero. I want him to do well so badly. Please god let us have a really talented exciting youngster for once. You big bearded bastard.
Jimmy Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Oh dear If I remember rightly something similar happened to Shay Given with Dion Dublin a few years ago...
Simon Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Oh dear Saw it on the Championship- bloody hilarious- he hasn't half put on a few pounds as well!!!!!!
WetFlannel Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Saw it on the Championship- bloody hilarious- he hasn't half put on a few pounds as well!!!!!! His hat was rather sleek though.
sdb Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 glad Gradel's showing some real promise and getting valuable experience under his belt. Also glad Logan is being shown up as a very average keeper somewhere other than here. Hopefully people will stop thinking he could be our number 1!!
when_you're_smiling Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 If I remember rightly something similar happened to Shay Given with Dion Dublin a few years ago... Yeah. Was quite funny though. Thank god he didn't do that for us. Don't think many of our keeprs are having a good time on loan. I was talking to my mate who is a Workington red fan who said Alex Cisak had an absolute mare for Tamworth against them last week in Blue Square North. The lambs lost 5-0.
Samilktray Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Speaking to a Leeds fan yesterday, apparantly on one of Leeds' forums theyve rated Shush! as Leeds' worst ever left back.

Babylon Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Speaking to a Leeds fan yesterday, apparantly on one of Leeds' forums theyve rated Shush! as Leeds' worst ever left back. Shush! - 6 - unsure that he offers anything better than parker, some shocking crossing. Shush! - 6 = ok. dont think he offers anything parker could'nt and gets caught out of position too much. Shush! 5- i hoped he'd get better. he hasn't. bottled one challenge, cocked up a clearance and wrong side of striker in the second half twice which nearly cost us dear. ben parker please. Shush! 6- First half still looked scared to play, second half he came into the game a little bit more Shush! - 6 - poor crosses, poor defending, decent passing, does nothing that Parker can't do. best performance yet though. Shush! - 6 - worst player of pitch to be hobnest. slow. gets caught out with players running behind him. Shush! - 5 - poor positional play they got in down his side. Shush! - 6 - a few too many stray passes. Shush! - 5 - The opposite of Kenton. Can't cross. (Kenton - 8 - Excellent - solid at the back, great lepa on him and loads of energy going forward. MOTM for me)
Koke Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Good to see Shush! is doing well Thracian will come in here and say its all a myth
Jimmy Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Good to see Shush! is doing well Thracian will come in here and say its all a myth that or say Leeds fans don't know a decent footballer when they see 1
Thracian Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 I'm not going to defend Shush!'s performances. It seems strange that a player who can cross the ball well should suddenly lose that ability but I don't doubt the reports and wonder if his mind is still in turmoil after his move. Whatever, I think it typical of some on here that they'll consider the Hungarians should have time to settle and acclimatise at City while they wouldn't offer the same licence to Shush!. And that Shush! should be pilloried after a couple of games for Leeds while Fryatt can have a whole bad season plus and indifferent half season and still retain support. Had I signed Shush! for Leeds I'd have almost certainly started him in the reserves. But there you go.
