City Lad Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 Well played Mandaric i hate plymouth so much I agree. Plymouth, at one point was a club I respected and wanted to get promoted. Not any more. They're fans and chairman have reacted like children to the whole Ollie mattar. Why can't they just get over him and move on like any other club. We've lost managers and accepted it.
Kilworthfox Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 LinkSounds like sour grapes to me. Ian Holloway also shot JR according to that twat!
STUHILL Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Mates with Mark Lawreneson? Nah just mates with the same barber!!!
maddog Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Seems like Ollie got all Plymouth's best players to leave. No reason for the chairman to lie. Seems like Ollie isn't so perfect after all. I can imagine Ollie telling Norris he could leave and telling the board to get rid of Blake because of his attitude. Id like to see what Ollie has to say on the matter though
Simi Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Would not surprise me if Sky have paid us both to do this.
sdb Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 what a load of bollocks!! the chairman surely has more say than the manager. dont re-negotiate blake's contract? even if oggy did say that i'm sure he could have seen the potential issue and resolved himself. the buzaky 1 clearly is bullshite and norris obviously wanted out. all absolute crap! i cant wait for sat!!!
Lovejoy Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Seems like Ollie got all Plymouth's best players to leave. No reason for the chairman to lie. Seems like Ollie isn't so perfect after all. and Martin "Maddog" Allen is perfect I suppose?
sdb Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Fcuk off **** face he was alright in his Grandstand days no??
maddog Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 and Martin "Maddog" Allen is perfect I suppose? Ive never said Allen is perfect and like Ollie
Fox You Forest Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Whoop Whoop!!! We have to WIN and WIN like 4-0!!!! That's my guess for the score in this weeks comp.
RowlattsFox Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 If Ollie was "crippling" Plymouth then why were they so desperate to hold onto him and refused us permission to speak to him?
Benji Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Fantastic, good old Milan has grasped an opportunity to hit the headlines Glad he has stuck up for Holloway though and the Plymouth chairman comes out looking like a bit of a fool. The length of it says to me he's been preparing it from the day Leicester enquired, the fans are pissed off at the board and they play us on saturday, what better chance to win them back. Let's hope for a thrashing
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Bollocks Agreed! On another note as I'm sure we'd all like to know... ...where'd you get your sig thingy from Burnham?
RowlattsFox Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 http://www.rivals.net/news/pgarticle.aspx?artid=2483_3114508 More detail on what Stapleton said.
MC Prussian Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Oh well, just a wind-up in order to create some momentum for Saturday's game. Sowing the seeds of envy. Tosser! Hope we give the farmers a right handful and bag in a few. It's the only answer they'd deserve. That way, the Argyle fans can start cutting heads amongst themselves. The Holloway bashing is getting repetitious.
Daggers Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Crap 70's pornalike pastie-eating gimp-faced twat - Fuck off! The most pathetic attempt at lieing to a fanbase since, well, err, the last time a Chairman of a football club opened his mouth. Despite being inbred for centuries, I'm betting that at least one supporter in the South-West has two eyes, most of its limbs and half a brain enough to see through that shit. Pathetic. C'mon Blues - send the miserable twat back to Incestville with his tail between his legs. (They actually have tails you know)
janner Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 You're lucky in a way that you're a big underachieving club who have a crap squad. And you're also lucky Holloway's doing crap trying to manage your team. Because if any bigger club came in, he'd be off and you'd feel like most Plymouthians. All the lies etc. Some of the dodgy dealings he was up to is frightening. See a 6 - part statement from the chairman at pafc.co.uk to see what the snivelling weasel did to try and destroy the team. Unlucky for him the chairman wouldn't do business with him after it, but it looks like he fancied buying all the players at discount rates doesn't it?!
Jonezy Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Christ..... Bittermouth bloody Argyle... Ebanks, If they wanted to renegotiate Ebanks contract, why didn't they do it when Ollie was gone, they had over a month to get it done. Ollie didn't like the player so much and thought 1,5M was a good price. Sturrock get the best out of him and they don't renegotiate the contract...??????? Surely Ebanks wanted out. Tell the whole bloody truth...... Norris, Their chairman talks about Norris coming to him all the time during January asking about leaving. Imagine being Ollie and get it every day during the summer. Ollie knew he couldn't keep his best players happy at Plymouth and therefore told him he could leave in January and still get half a season out of him. Can't be Ollie's fault, that Norris wants to leave, but Ollie still got an extra half season out of him.......... Buzaky Another player who wants to leave, and who according to Ollie does not fit in too well in the dressing room. Maybe Ollie wanted Laczko and Bori for the price of Buzaky and thought it was for the best to let him go..... Gosling Ollie gave up the fight to try and keep him. Maybe a mistake, but maybe a good deal.... Hayles You say it yourself chairman, and your fans say it as well. It was a good deal for you, and he scores goals for us. Everybody is happy, so why bring it up....... The timing Like a good stir before crunch time or what...???? You just couldn't wait until monday to release this pile of backstabbing on a former employee, who gave you the best times you have ever had.... Overalll I thought you were a cool gang to have around in the Championship, but now I seriously can't wait until you get relegated into obscurity again. (Can't frickin believe Bittermouth finally got under my skin... I failed.....)
Craig Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 To me, it seems like Ollie just did what he had to in order to keep the players happy. He said Buszaky wasn't popular in the dressing room, he didn't mind if he left... fair choice IMO. Ebanks-Blake - Didn't like his attitude, or his fitness levels. Didn't feel he was worth a new contract. This is backed up by the fact that he didn't try and sign him here. Surely he would have? He also said Norris could go in January, maybe that was to keep him for another few months, whilst trying to change his mind about leaving. Even the chairman himself says Norris tried demanding wages to stay until the summer aslong as he could go, it just seems like Ollie had that situation in the summer and dealt with it. Gosling, the chairman doesn't disagree with this transfer. It's just a poor attempt at trying to wind us all up, and suck their fans back in.

Doesn't your sistermother need attending to with your deformed hand?
Filberts lovechild Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 The biggest load of b*llocks I have read in a long time! Question. Why would a manager say if a bid comes in for ebanks blake of £1.5mill accept it because he's not fit. WHY THE FOOK WOULD A MANAGER SAY THAT????? Its his job to get him fit and if Ollie did say that to him then why didn't the Des Lynam lookalike chairman say Ollie mate, your not doing your job properly are you?!? Chairman has blatantly just shot himself in the foot and made up a load of crap. Can't wait for Ollie's response, he'll rip the twat to shreds!

Unlucky for him the chairman wouldn't do business with him after it, but it looks like he fancied buying all the players at discount rates doesn't it?! Has life become so meaningless on the Argyle fans forum? Can you lot still sleep at night? Does it feel like the whole wide world has turned against you? Remember - you made a big fat profit from those sales and have thus secured a stable financial position. For League One standard, that is. I've read that 6-part statement - and publishing it MONTHS after Holloway's departure just displays that you and your chairman are just a sad bunch of moaners. What I sense here is that your bloody chairman simply failed to do a proper job in order to keep your best players from moving on. He failed to assess the situation adequately. You had MONTHS to negotiate deals with your oh so dearly loved Ebanks-Blake, Buszaky, Norris, etc. etc. Instead, your bloody chairman waits until JANUARY, just before the transfer window opens... He even admits to own mistakes in that regard. It's on your own homepage. What friggin' attitude is that? If they really cared about the aforementioned players, you'd have done EVERYTHING to make sure they stay! Yeah, blame it all on Holloway. Make him your one and only scapegoat. It's oh so easy. What role your club, its greedy directors and the agents played, you fail to mention. They got in a nice bag of cash out of those deals, that's it. Profit. Money. Bling bling. Dineros. Dough. Get the message? In the end, it's Holloway's word vs. Stapleton's. An amateurish, childish attempt at a wind-up is all that I'll remember when I think of Plymouth Argyle. Such words will only boost our own morale - did yourself a great favour, that Stapleton dude! I had a knack for your club, thought of it as a nice underdog-makes-it-big-story example, but this affair has taken away the last bit of sympathy there was left. Your club could've behaved so much better. Now you're in shambles. Start looking into your own mirror. Prepare for League One.
OnePaulWotton Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 The statement was made because the Chairman was getting personal abuse from fans who couldn't believe that we'd let so many of our best players go. At least that's the official line, the timing seems to be a bit conveniant to me. Why can't you lot talk about Argyle fans without insulting them? We're just a group of football fans still angry at the betrayal of one of the most popular managers we've ever had, can't you see that? But no, it's always "rarara inbred twats", like that hasn't been done to death before. If an Argyle fan came on here and started going on about Leicester being full of Asians, you'd all kick up a fuss. Same difference.
