That's in the Telegraph, 'n all... and that's like a proper newspaper. :o

I have a feeling that we'll be linked with every manager in this league at some point.

And the way things are going, we'll probably end up appointing half of them at some point or other.

Ian Holloway's days numbered at Leicester City

By Richard Bright

Last Updated: 1:40am GMT 14/02/2008

Milan Mandaric is ready to risk further embarrassment to his tenure at Leicester City by removing his fifth manager in 12 months in a desperate attempt to protect the £25 million investment he made in the club a year ago.

The Serbian-American businessman is understood to have sounded out potential replacements for existing manager Ian Holloway, with former Derby County manager Billy Davies high on the list of possibles, just 17 games after installing the former Plymouth Argyle manager.

Defeat against Watford on Tuesday night, leaves Holloway with just four wins and staring at the relegation zone in the Championship and sources at the club insists that Mandaric is already running out of patience and that his working relationship with Holloway is suffering.

There are suggestions that Holloway offered his resignation recently, but was talked out of it by Mandaric, but with Leicester just two points above the bottom three Davies is now firmly on the club's radar and Mandaric could make a move this weekend, if Leicester fail to stop the slide against Norwich City. Davies was high on Mandaric's wanted list before Holloway was appointed, but the ex-Portsmouth chairman was unable to tempt him away from his former club Derby County. Mandaric completed a year in charge at the Walkers Stadium yesterday (Weds) and has admitted he has been shocked by the lack of progress.

"We are not even near where I wanted to be or where I planned to be. I gave my life to this club for the last 12 months, and millions of pounds, and I don't see as good progress as I wanted. But I have to keep working on it and surround myself with the people that will help me to get there and you have to look to the big picture."

Please be true that we are sacking Holloway but please not Billy Davies!

Steve Cotterill would be good though!

Sam alladyce?

though seriously i don't want them to sack holloway, though if this run continues much longer i can't see how he can keep his job.

Will be another dark day fr this club.

So if Ollie goes, which now does seem to be on the cards, LCFC will soon become a laughing stock. 5 managers gone in a year is a joke. MM is always talking stability. There is no stability, how can there be with so many changes in leadership and on the field. What manager in his right mind would want to come to Leicester at this present time, and for the right reason? I do believe that Holloway can get it right in time. But MM probably won't give him the time... as we have seen before^^.

Thanks MM for pulling us out of the shit, but IMO it's time for you to sell up now so we can have some STABILITY.

Hmm, only 1 slight problem there.... Apart from Milan nobody wanted to buy us in the first place!! I doubt that would have changed any in the last 12 months unless of course you are thinking Greame Souness as Chairman/Manager?!?!?!

We will really need to get a real big name manager if we sack him because if we don't no normal manager will be able to save us with the shit that Allen/Megson/Holloway left/may leave us in. Milan should be audacious and go for Allardyce and Jol or Mourinho offering them the biggest challenges of their careers and Milan has the money to pay them so why not at least try. :dunno:

I totally agree with what you say. Who would want to buy City?

It will be a bigger joke if we get relegated, That will have a bigger impact on the club than sacking IH.

I can’t believe that people want Holloway out after so few games given the total bag of shit that he inherited.FFS Jose mourinho wouldn’t have been able to do anything after so few games. Also remember pricks wanting O’Neil out for playing hoof ball and not winning for something like 13 games. I like many am pissed off at the lack of wins but shit sacking Holloway and getting another Muppet like Billy sheep shagging Davies isn’t the answer.

Well the current form is unacceptable, so this was bound to happen.... A few more loses, and MM will have to cut the string to Ollie simply to try and avoid League 1. I actually prefer keeping Ollie, even if we go down. I just cant stand the thought of another new manager... (Is MM the new Jesus Gil??)

Billy Davies makes sense though. Proven record down here, and knows Oakley and Howard, but I think we are in for even more hoof ball then...

So to keep it simple. Please let us beat Norwich on Saturday.

This really is absurd. But i'm not even slightly bothered, which worries me just as much as this article.

You must be growing immune to all this manager stuff.

In todays SUN [ i know dont say it ] MM linked again with ID and i see SC, I cant see Cotterill being any better than IH who I would imgaine will have cost MM around £1mill if he sacks him.

If MM is going to go for another manager the ones that are out of work A/D/C any of them 3 would be a good choice, lets get a proven manager in next time someone whos going to give this lot down here a good kick up the arse and has proved he can get teams into the PREM.

Believe me on this, just heard it from a great source, Dowie will be in the manager's seat for the game at Cov away

I am not on this bandwagon. I've already stated my reasons in other threads but I think it's sad state for a football club to be in when we're running round like Mary Queen of Scots shouting 'off with their heads' at every foreseeable opportunity. I know we may go down, but it is a price we may have to pay for stability. If we bring in yet another manager they will want to sign another set of players and ship out the new 'dead wood'. It's going to be the same story all over again.

Thanks mate. Valuable info.
