OLLIE OUT?

IAN HOLLOWAY has two games to save his job as Leicester manager.

He has picked up only five wins in 19 league matches and Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric is ready to act.

Leicester travel to Cardiff tomorrow but the crunch game will be the clash with relegation rivals Preston on Tuesday.

Midfielder Lee Hendrie has joined the scrap on loan from Sheffield United.

Holloway said: “Lee can unlock a door for us.” THE SUN

:@

I was reading the sun today and stumbled upon this little section sayin ollie only has 2 games to save himself from the sack.

i know it's more than likely not true cause it is the sun afterall but if he is sacked then i don't think i will be attendin another game again this year and my season ticket can catch dust on the shelf. i know he is know playin his players that he's managed to get in but i still think people are asking to much to soon.

i'm more optomistic than ever whilst ollies in charge more than i have been for the past 4 years and i have no doubt in my mind that if given time he'll become one of the greats to manage us to the top.

if you look at the players now i honestly think that if any other manager was in charge we wouldn't of signed hendrie, howard, oakley. i don't even think they'd of looked twice. ( allen trying to get hendrie in the summer) everyone has great things to say about him and his character

who would we get jean tigana (no for fock sake) it remains the fact there is no one out there anybetter than holloway and HELL I DON'T WANT HALF A SEASON WONDER DOWIE  and if we do change manager we stand more of a chance of going down with the unrest it'll create AGAIN and the upheavel of more plyers coming in and out.

He has already had 20 games in charge.

I believe this article.

If we lose that Preston game, and end up a few points down in the zone Milan would have no choice, he would have to sack him.

I think i said a few weeks ago that if we drop into the relegation zone at any point Milan will sack Ollie.

If we lose the next 2, it will be 5 wins in 22 and we would almost certainly be in the drop zone. Sheff Wed have 2 games in hand and Preston will be at least 3 points above us.

So we could stick with Ollie after 22 games and just 5 wins and try and get out of the drop zone.

Or get a new manager in to save us.

For me if we lose the next 2 games Ollie will be gone. We may have to sack him to save us from relegation.

Im not raking in the big bucks to make those impossible decisions though, it's up to Milan.

I believe it too and if it happens we'll be crazy bringing another outsider in before the end of the season unless it was someone exceptional and why would anyone exceptional wash up here in present circumstances?.

But Milan will go his own way.

In a lot of the interviews with players, they've commented how much they like Ollie and that's the general feeling you get with most places he's been. I really fear sacking him would condem us to the drop, no matter who came in. If this is true, which it could be, Billy Davies is the only man for me!

Everyone said "bollocks" e.t.c when the NOTW reported about MA, Yeah fair enough its the sun and they do write their fair share of bullshit but my prediction is we will lose 2-1 tomorrow, Not sure what will happen on Tuesday but Ollie will be out of a job by Wednesday, I am fully behind Ollie and I do think if we carry on with him next season, or give him time put it that way he is the right man for us, However he really does need to buck his ideas up when it comes to interviews and excuses because after loss after loss after loss his bullshit in his interviews and the excuses he comes out with are the last thing we want to hear.

Similar was said of Kelly.

Perhaps in the current situation he's too nice.

But surely after just 5 wins in 22 games, and stuck in the relegation zone, we are condeming ourselves to relegation if we stick with Ollie :dunno:

Would you rather stick with the man who has got us into the relegation zone to get us out of it? Who has failed most of his 22 games.

Or bring in a new man.

For me we are condeming ourselves more to relegation if we stick with him.

BUT the future hasn't happened yet, we may win tomorrow, Preston, Sheff Wed, Scun n Colchester may lose and Ollie will be safe.

This isn't like the MA sacking report, MA didn't deserve to be sacked so we didn't believe it. If Ollie takes us into the relegation zone after all this money has been spent and all these games with his new players, he DESERVES to be sacked. Which makes this article believeable.

I think he may well get the boot if we dont win the next 2 matches. I hope its not the case but its looking more likely everytime we lose unfortunately.

This Preston game is gonna be a real tough one i think!

Mandaric is probably livid that Holloway's record is worse than all the previous managers he's appointed and he's had more money to spend than the lot put together. I can't see how anyone could disagree with his removal if City fall into the bottom three. The Coventry performance was unacceptable and also 20 games into Holloway's reign. If that bunch of crap didn't demonstate that Holloway is failing big time, nothing will.

if we pick up 1 point from the next 2 games it wouldnt surprise me to see him go.

the harsh question has to be asked. what has he done to prevent otherwise?

i like him, he needs time, id give it to him but if the team doesnt buck up its ideas another manager gets the blame.

i hope we get some results for ollies sake . he deserves to get his tooth into this jo on a level playing field ie, start of a fresh season

I love how people say the papers are full of shit out of hope more than anything.

The papers get thier fair share of things right tbh.

If Ollies 20 games in charge had been the first 20 of the season he would certainly have been sacked. The fact he's the 3rd already this season means MM will cut him some slack though I bet he's not best pleased.

If we should lose the next two matches c/w poor perfomancies I think it's a cert he'll be gone.

Remember the players looked lethargic during the warm-up against Cov!

That suggests to me some major problems at the Walkers. Throw into the mix their confidence should have been high after thrashing a team who were on a 14 game unbeaten run in the previous game will not be lost on MM.

You need at least some consistancy & effort.

MM will think he's worked hard to amass his fortune - he now sees a portion of it going down the pan - he'll act.

Fully agree, while I like most people think that it seems pointless to keep changing managers, we need stability.

However MM has stated many a time that if it takes 20 managers before he finds the right one then he will indeed wield the axe.

It could be goodbye Ollie and goodluck.

Welcome ?????

Its out of the sun mate if everyting in there was true then ronaldinho would be playing at Wigan .

It could be the case that if we keep Ollie we will go down.

If we get a new manager in we will go down.

So we can't win. We are going down :crylaugh:
