Being banned from posting in the general news thread 😡

Not the first, mate.

Was  it just random or did you say something controversial or offensive without realising?

It's a blessing, believe me. It has saved me countless hours trying to reason with awful takes.

Just repeated something I read in the news regarding Israeli treatment of Palestinians. Someone reported it (I’ve a good idea who).
Zionism wins again unfortunately.

When a really good morning coffee finishes. I wouldn't say it 'grinds my gears' but it's always quite a sad moment.

My one guilty pleasure in life. I limit myself to one a day, which is nowhere near enough imo.
Consultant recently suggested I go decaf, the heathen 😡

I can only really have one in the morning, if I have one in the afternoon I'm in danger of a bit of reflux (though after a big lunch I often give in). So I know I have to really savour the morning one. Sister got me some Ethiopia coffee from F&M for my birthday and it's so good, and finishing the cup in the morning is so hard.

It's definitely the one thing I would find almost impossible to give up, even if I were strongly advised to.

So do you drink any other hot drinks bovril?

None at all, only coffee.

I was given my moniker by an ex girlfriend who thought I was warming but too salty.

Sounds like a keeper to me.

I would quite happily pay a fee for a forum function that blocks AI generated images that are being posted more and more on here.. Might be me being a spoil sport but they're all just completely unfunny to me.. lol

The fear of the Jewish lobby is genuine and real.

Zionist. Not Jewish.

In the UK  it's Board of Deputies of British Jews and Jewish Leadership Council that have disproportionate power over or government.

You are correct that they have a disproportionate influence on government but it’s also fair to say that they have a Zionist/pro Israel agenda which is the overwhelming factor at play.
There are many Jewish people, some in high places, who don’t agree with that sort of influence.
I don’t like using the term Jewish lobby as that implies antisemitism and it’s important to separate Jews and Zionists to avoid any false accusations.

Also, they don't represent all Jews (indeed a very small proportion of them) and there are many disparate views of what is going on amongst the Jewish people - unfortunately people are easy to persuade that other races or creeds speak as one, which is demonstrably not the case, as it isn't within our own culture. I have Jewish friends from childhood who now refuse to speak to me because I am of Jewish background but hold the 'wrong' views.

Sadly, this perception is encouraged by certain Bodies and Councils, which is not only arrogant and presumptive, but highly dangerous too.

People thinking mic drops are still cool. Is this 2015?

The silly bint interviewer on Sky Sports asked them to do it and because Ryan and Rob are nice accommodating chaps, they did.

But yeah, a bit cringe and unnecessary (although I love the way Ryan picked them up and dusted them down afterwards - what a gent)
