People that use disabled parking when they're not disabled/blue badge holder.

Bonus points if they put their hazards on to let everyone know how important they are and that the rules don't apply to them.

And parent and child bays. I had to park miles away at Tesco the other day when it was a line of the blue rinse brigade parked in those spaces with no child to be seen. Wayne Kerr's the lot of them.

Wallace and Torode and all the other low level "celebs" that think are above reproach and can behave as the like just because they're on TV.

Might they have been there with their grandchildren given that it's school holidays and the parents were working?

They might go down the Gray/Keys route and end up with their own cookery show/channel in Dubai.

I’m yet to be convinced Torode has done anything wrong. At least nothing significant that wasn’t a one-off and apologised for immediately. Feels like they just wanted a reboot for Masterchef and flushed his career down the loo as collateral.

Person at a work social event used an inappropriate word, and immediately apologised. One off incident. Seems very harsh to then sack said person 6 years later.

I have zero faith in the BBC whatsoever these days, joke of an organisation.

I suspect they get away with it as he is not a BBC employee and indeed has worked on a contract basis for the production company too.  They can choose not to rehire someone without consequence.

They are in an impossible situation to be honest.  They get it from all sides whether they take action or do not take action, show something or do not show something.  And they have so much output everyone can find something to love or loathe.

This.

Also, in this era, it is absolutely vital to have a non commercial, easily accessible news source that isn't simply telling its viewers what they want to hear for the sake of £££.

It is a bit unclear though how much of the BBC's 4Bn spending on public service broadcasting is spent on news & current affairs.

I think we talked about this a bit a while back, and I remember agreeing that, if it came to it, ring fencing of just the news and current affairs funding would be acceptable to me, so long as it came with the binding and unbreakable guarantee that such funding was both unconditional and in perpetuity.

Yes, and probably one or two other bits like educational programming too, but with so many entertainment options out there now, surely the other bits could thrive outside the licence fee model.  I already pay for some BBC channels over here through Britbox.

Not disputing this, but why? I’ve never understood why all sides hate the bbc but I don’t watch them.

I don’t like the website because it’s clickbait and the analysis is superficial, prefer the ft as a source of news

You mean the FT as in FoxesTalk?
