Pork pie roundabout traffic lights not working for over 6 hrs.

 

Where are traffic police? Oh, sat in vans trying to catch people out for moneys.

Trying to get quotes and people to do work is such hard work. The cost of living crisis obviously isn't stopping people spending money and companies don't need the work. Or, they just can't be arsed to respond. Two weeks ago I sent 8 enquiries requesting quotes for a solar installation. Two replies.

I can tell you from the amount of parcels of non-essential items I deliver, there's no cost of living crisis.

 

First week after the last Friday of any month - absolute carnage! It's like people have been paid and absolutely needs to buy tat again!

Obviously I don't want facts to get in the way of a bit of bandwagon Police Hatred...

 

But those in Speed camera vans are civilians, not warranted Police Officers.

 

Traffic Police, or any Police for that matter, won't sit manning broken traffic lights.

 

I can guarantee,  from your comment alone, that you would be the first to complain they weren't out catching murderers and rapists if you did see one manning broken traffic lights.

 

...Just a thought as the Bandwagon esque Police Hatred, stirred up from Tik Tok etc is a bit boring.

Now I live near the beach, it is half dressed people in the supermarket all summer.  Hard to know where to look sometimes!

Nope.

 

I don't "hate the police", far from it. I think they are under-staffed. In the not too distant past they would have been in attendance.

 

The camera vans are paid for from police funds, as are the people within, be they police support staff or actual officers (because sometimes they are). It's still police resources.

 

I religiously observe the speed limit but have a bone of contention with cameras, which is this.

They mostly catch the unwary rather than habitual speeders. In fact, often such people will take off even faster after passing a camera, thinking they've been held up briefly by having to do the speed limit and need to make up for that.

 

I do like average speed cameras, which aren't capturing a brief moment in time. They actually moderate speed very well and if you get caught in one of those, you've only yourself to blame.

 

And no, I've not been caught by a speed camera.

Mildly less anti-social but see also neighbours blaring the radio out in their garden on hot days. Thank god everyone else in the area has exactly the same musical taste as them, eh!
