I just don't see the point of 'Lads Holidays'. In fact I don't even understand the whole 'lie on the beach all day and get smashed at night' culture. For me, holidays are about exploring new places and experiencing new cultures.

Must admit being a teetotaler and having been forced to goto those kinds of places(malia,Tenerife,Magaluf,Bodrum) with my mates when i was younger,did seem like a chore and brain numbingly boring.

Having grwon up and been to places like New York,Istanbul,Florida and major Euro cities i know which holiday i prefer.

To a certain extent I agree. Although there's always time for a good old messy holiday, just not in Magaluf or Malia or wherever all the British go nowadays.

The only 'Lads' style of holiday that I have been on have involved travelling to watch football/rugby.

I have to agree with Monk, sitting on a sunbed all day and bars bar night aren't my idea of fun times. Personally, I much prefer restaurants, seeing things etc etc.

Weekend of Carlisle away. Travelling up to Carlisle on the Friday, then straight up to Edinburgh after the game. Should be good, the Xmas market will be out!

It was a brilliant week, I also enjoy exploring etc. I spent a fortnight on a tour of Israel last year.

But You can't beat a week on the piss with the lads.

Fair point holidays are about exploring and experiencing new cultures. For me the main reason for holidays are to enjoy yourself and to get away from work/home/commitments etc for a week or two, and thats exactly what I've done.

Went to Cancun and the hotel was the Crown Paradise. Nice hotel and the security was top notch there. My mother had to pay 800 pesos for a new safe though as some daft git robbed the key but couldnt get into the room. Wallys.

Yea they had Corona on tap at our resort, the Mexicans are well proud of Corona always trying to sell merchandise.

Nope didnt go there, spent most of the days on the resort or doing water stuff.

Went to Coco Bongo and that was mint.
