Is it just me that finds 5 set tennis boring?

It's only the men and only at Grand Slams. But I don't want to sit for 3-5 hours watching one match. It might be value for money for the people actually there, but christ it's dull sometimes, particularly when you have evenly matched players going to tiebreaks more often than not.

Put it back to 3 sets same as the girls IMO.

You are definitely not alone in thinking that, but I am of completely the opposite persuasion. Unless it’s just two big servers firing aces at each other, in which case I am less into it

Maybe if it’s just serve  all the time but there can be classics.

It would be pretty funny if the Belarusian wins the women’s and the Russian wins the men’s. Imagine Kate handing over the trophies.

It’s something Wimbledon are worried about..

Sabalenka is so sound, it would be disappointing if they couldn’t be mature about it (especially as Saba is not Russian) although I would understand why Svitolina may have issues.

Seen the score .

Guess Vondrousova has just dominated and Svitolina has no answers .

Coming back into it now although probably too late!

To be fair Svitolina has been walking a tightrope, there was always going to be one match too many.

Who was the last unseeded player to win the ladies title ?

Can't see it's ever happened in the ladies championship.

No one sums up the unlikeable, unnaccessable, elite nature of tennis better than this absolute horror nonce.

Just seen the 'hindrance' call against Djokovic. Very harsh! Never seen or heard of that before.

Worse when you think of how much squealing and screaming plenty of other players do.

Djokovic becoming the Verstappen of tennis. Getting a bit boring really.

He'll end his career having broken all records but for me there was always this presence about Federer that was a joy to watch. Which for whatever reason, I just don't feel the same way with Djokovic.

What’s the deal with Medvedev standing that deep? That’s a fairly tame serve pace wise, is it just because it’s so insanely accurate?

what a shot to finish too lol

Great finish to what was a pretty dull match.

The final that most Tennis fans wanted, fingers crossed Alcaraz doesn’t cramp against him this time.

He always stands deep. I think he does it so he's less likely to have to play a block return and instead can take a full swing at it. I agree though, he needs to adjust it for the less powerful serves and trust he can adjust his feet quick enough.
