Unfortunately I think Katie has no hope and Bob Hope.

We're about to find out.....

Perhaps unsurprisingly but Rybakina looks a class above so far.

Boulter was never going to cope with her serve and forehand. Both way too powerful.

Anyone watching Zverev vs Berrettini? Zverev has a habit of doing so much hard work in a rally and then not taking advantage, or winning the point then making a stupid unforced error in the next.

Only the score, which is a bit of a surprise - but not if that's what he's doing!

Yes she wasn’t going to get much from this .

Excellent win for Berrettini.

Really found his form on the grass this week .

Oh well, one of my favourite things is for the Saturday matches to go on to 11pm while there are storms and summer rain going on outside. Thought that was a given after all the delays...robbed lol

It's like being back in the 80s and early 90s. British interest in the singles over before the first week is done, hoping beyond hope Jeremy Bates or Jo Durie might squeeze through to the 3rd round if we're lucky.

We're going to miss Murray something fierce. There doesn't seem to be anyone coming through to pass the torch to. Norrie made the semis last year but I'm not sure he will again.

And one who is considered a good prospect in Jack Draper cannot keep fit for now .

To be fair most British players underachieved this week. If they play to their rankings you'd have one or two in week 2. But you are right that the direction things are going in are basically leading to those dark days.
