Father Ted Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1637673.eceDennis Wise  Poyet was the brains behind Swindon and Leeds when Wise was in charge...
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Poyet was the brains behind Swindon and Leeds when Wise was in charge... I know - that's what's funny about Wise being linked with the job!! He'll get caught out good and proper!
Uncle Albert Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Why Wise was Director of Football is beyond me, knows piss all.
Durnerz Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Bet he'll love it if they get relegated....love it!
Uncle Albert Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Bet he'll love it if they get relegated....love it! They wont get relegated thats for sure, Europe for Newcastle this year.
Corky Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 I feel sorry for Keegan. He's a thoroughly decent man who made Newcastle what it is today (a rich club with a massive stadium, all off the back of his success first time around), he doesn't slag other managers and clubs off, and he wants his sides to play football, even in tough times. He said three times Milner was going nowhere, and then they sold him. I'm sure people have undermined him, I wouldn't put it past Wise. I hope, for their sakes, Wise goes as well. I'd hate to see any club managed by that little twat, especially one with such good supporters.

I am surprised, King Kev getting the boot will not go down too well with the fans, I personally think he will just get a slap on the wrist!!

On Setanta Sports News it said their sources say he's gone. That's all I'm going by at the moment.
The People's Hero Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Lap it up boys. Lap it up. Brace yourselves though. It's an 'embarrass yourself merry go round'. Man City and Newcastle have played their hands. I bet Leicester can trump them.

Milky Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 On the BBC. "Having picked up just four points from the opening three games" With visits to Man U and Arsenal in those three, four points is a fantastic start!

Tilley Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Fooking ridiculous, Newcastle take the piss. What about the players they have brought in? Or will it all be handed over to Wise?
Ric Flair Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 I wonder if Jiminez will have Wise on the bag for the Ryder Cup?
LeeCovFox Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 What an absolute joke. I feel for Keegan, I really do. The writing has been on the wall since early on though. As soon as Wise was appointed it has been clear that he would be Newcastle's next manager. I'm not so sure as others that he will do a bad job. I don't like the little tosser, but his record elsewhere has been pretty good, and I don't know how much credit Poyet can be given for that - time will tell. As for whoever said that Keegan bottled it - it seems that he has been sacked anyway, but even if not, it is ridiculous to say that most managers would give their right arm to be in that position. Managers want to manage, not be dictated to.
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Dennis Wise will more than likely get what he went there for in the first place, little **** Or he will come in for Pearson just to piss us lot off. Pearson isn't that silly to go back there, is he??
Flynny Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 What a ridiculous decision. Keegan has left, not been sacked, surely?

As soon as Wise was appointed it has been clear that he would be Newcastle's next manager. Don't know if that was the case but I certainly feel he seemed to be constantly surprised by events happening at the club of which he had no or little prior knowledge. Milner should not have been sold if they were serious about making a fist of it this year, the bloke was stitched up...but at least it now leaves him free in case an East Midlands team in the Third Division needs a manager
