Jonezy Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 I like the fact, that this is a Walsh signing and not some agent selling his player to MM. Bit worried about his lack of English, but hopefully he'll adapt without problems wanting to prove himself.
Daggers Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 So our new wonderkid doesn't speak English huh? I'd hardly call Ben a "wonderkid".
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Does anyone know if Tunchev speaks some English or none at all?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Good Luck Tunchev i hope it is an awesome signing
filbertway Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Thread sanitised. Hooray. Played Tunchev looks like an absolute Ox I can't wait to see him beast the league 1 strikers.
DB11 Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 So our new wonderkid doesn't speak English huh? Wonderkid at that age? And couldn't a certain Kaebi not speak English?
Darkzzz_ Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Blimey he is a big lad isn't he. Hope he can handle the threat that many pose in this league. Jermain Beckford wont know whats hit him!!
Uncle Albert Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Whats his squad number? May treat myself and get this animal on the back of it.
Tommy G Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Whats his squad number? May treat myself and get this animal on the back of it. Wasn't it 5 on his training top? Not that that means anything, they could get handed random ones..
Stevosevic Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 He's not crap, he's not unfit just waiting for some paperwork to get sorted Now everyone knows, hopefully. http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?b...6269754|p|536|0 Leicester City are hoping that defender Aleksander Tunchev will finally be cleared to face Birmingham City in tomorrow night's friendly at the Walkers Stadium. The Bulgarian international's work permit came through almost two weeks ago but some of the necessary documentation is still tangled up in Home Office red tape. This is, apparently, a knock-on from the recent Passport Office strike. Tunchev was scheduled to face Kettering Town on Saturday but had to watch from the stands as his new team-mates won 4-1. He did play against Olimpija in Slovenia on the pre-season trip 12 days ago but needs final clearance to play in this country and the hold-up is frustrating City manager Nigel Pearson. Pearson said: "There is no problem but there is just this administrative matter of some paperwork that is delaying things. "It would be better for him to have had a couple more games with us to get settled in. But he is a very experienced player, he is fit and I am sure everything will be all right. "Of course, his absence has given others a chance to impress and take their opportunity to try for a place in the side when the season starts." City's newest recruit, Jack Hobbs, went straight into Tunchev's central defensive role at Rockingham Road and Pearson rated his display highly. He said: "Jack did very well considering he had just come into the club the day before and I thought he looked a good player. "The game itself was a good test for us as well. "They might have caused us a few problems but the fact that, apart from the odd occasion, they didn't was because we went about the job professionally. I was pleased with the performance on a very hot day. We passed the ball well and other aspects, like the shape of the team, showed an improvement. "It was another notch up towards being ready for the start of the season and tomorrow night's game against Birmingham will be another step-up. "It was a strong side at Kettering because we are down to the last two weeks before we begin the season. I have been pleased with the work the players have put in and it is all about them being not just fit but match-fit and ready for that opening game."
Ric Flair Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 What a surprise. This happened with Kaebi and Gudjonsson. Why it takes so long to get the paperwork sorted is beyond me, this wouldn't happen at any Premiership club. Let's hope it's finally sorted today. I want to see Tunchev dispose of McSheffrey.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Passport strike shenanigens! I say ban all Trade Unions Not really......."when workers are on strike, you don't cross picket lines" ......or ask for your "Tunchev papers, please?"
mmarkie Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 I really hope he plays tommorrow im a bit confused when is he expected to receive this piece of paperwork?
Moreton Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 He will have one good game then fizzle away.. ..like the Hungarians.
Austin Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Hope this gets sorted asap .. Think he'll have a massive impact for us
mmarkie Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 I really hope he plays tommorrow im a bit confused when is he expected to receive this piece of paperwork? ????????
Tommy G Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 I'm reserving my comments until he's played a few games. I don't want to have egg on my face like certain posters on here, especially after the pre-judgmental attitudes on Kaebi/Lackzo/Clemence etc He's bound to have a big expectation, but lets not make it worse by piling on pressure!
Cheese Me Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Good news, glad to hear it's nothing more sinister. Annoying he's missing the pre-season games due to the hold up but at least it's not indicating a bigger problem. Let's hope he's cleared to play against Birmingham
mmarkie Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 I really hope he plays tommorrow im a bit confused when is he expected to receive this piece of paperwork? ????????????????????????????
Uncle Albert Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 ???????? As you are so eager to know I have text Mandaric for you and asked him and he said sometime soon. He told me to pass on his regards to you and hopes to see you at tomorrows game.
Ric Flair Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 I don't think Tunchev has quite been hyped up as much as i'd have expected, might mean he turns out to be a bit decent.
