maddog Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 DJ DJ DJ! Chambers not getting a look in, Barry Hayles can liven things up for the last 25 minutes or so, Fryatt's misfiring recently going back to his lazy ways, Chambers isn't being given a chance and Howard is hardly Fernando Torres. And yet we have this pacy striker on loan, in the division above us, whos bagged 3 goals in 3 games there and could have had more, without even a place on the bench here. Bring him back now i say if possible
DB11 Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 No because he was shit here because he had no confidence and didn't want to be here. When Allen was here he was fine but as soon as Allen went, so did DJs confidence.
Daggers Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 Does maddog have the same IP address as FIAB? It's as if they were cut from the same chain-smoking mother's umbilical cord.
Brainy Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 and Howard is hardly Fernando Torres. As NSLL said just boycott his opometers.
Guest Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 :laugh:As NSLL said just boycott his opometers. Having said that, I did see someone walking down to the Walkers at the last match with 'Howardinho' on his city shirt
Ultra Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 We've scored ELEVEN goals in our last five games. It's not like we need him back..
davieG Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 And the best goal difference in all of the Leagues so I read somewhere. If it's a season long loan we may not even have a recall option making the poll even more pointless. I'm sure if it was 100% for recalling him Nigel would be on the phone to Blackpool first thing in the morning.
Ashley Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 Edit: Just rememberd he said he wants to stay at Blackpool, I dont want players at Leicester that don't want to play for us.
MC Prussian Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 Maddog, now you've definately gone mad. Err... Excuse me - Howard has already scored ten goals this season. And even if he was crap last season in the Championship and even if he could do better in the scoring department, he's been an invaluable part of this season's success. And comparing him with Torres... It's good to know we still have a DJ, but we've done well without him so far.
C-man Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 The poll question: 'Solve our mini-striker crisis???' Oh you mean where one of our strikers has 24 goals and the other has 10 already this season? Absolute crisis.
Jimmy Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 great he's scoring goals on loan at Blackpool, but so did Paul Dickov
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 Or we could buy someone better?
City Lad Posted 1 February 2009 Posted 1 February 2009 Recall and play upfront with Howard. Fryatt needs a period out of the first eleven and is going back to bad ways - the break could do him good. Campbell is a better replacement for him than Dickov or Hayles.
Thracian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Doesn't matter. I've always thought him a good player given some proper playing time and a period free from injury but If Pearson doesn't want to play him, he won't.
surrifox Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 hope he scores shedloads in the CCC then perhaps we can recoup something out of the situation - I read somewhere that he is "provisionally " already sold at the end of the season for £250k -surely we must get more than that for a proven striker (other than at city of course)
Salieri Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 DJ is crap. End of. Sell him to Blackpool if they're foolish enough to want him. The guy has failed to break double figures for any team since banging in the goals for the "mighty" Yeading. He's a guy who got very lucky after coming to the fore in a televised FA Cup game. He's got pace, thats his only real asset but he doesnt use that to good effect, just gets him offside. A lot. We paid ridiculous money for him, hopefully we can get at least part of it back by flogging him to Blackpool. Good riddance. The fact maddog rates Dudley and not Howard speaks volumes for his judgement!
Tilley Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009  People have actually voted! Lets boycott the next oponoonecaresmeter.
Fox in a Box Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Id rather bring back Ian holloway than DJ. Get rid.
Granno Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 For me it was inevitable that he would leave us, and go and score goals. There's no reason for us to recall him though, he's had his time here.
