Back on October 22nd you posted this : http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...=54402&st=0

Shortly after we went on a fantastic unbeaten run which is still ongoing. During this time, there was very little in the way of negativity coming from you. Now, on the basis of an isolated poor performance yesterday, your reaction seems to be once again a tad overstated.

I just looked 'ultra' up in the thesaurus

Ultra - inconsistent, fickle, changeable, variable, labour party supporter :giggle: , whimsical, vacillating, blowing hot and cold.

Just watched the worst display of football ever from a Leicester City side,no excuses Oldham are a league one side down to 10 men with no goalkeeper....disgusted!

Ive just read the worst post on foxestalk this season. >_<

I've read through this post and after careful consideration I have come to this conclusion.

Barmy76uk and He's Not Bald are the cancer of this club, and like some have rightly said should be taken off this forum. You are not City supporters, you are ****s! Its support like yours we could do without. One bad game and the doom squad come out! Get a grip, every team has its bad days!

But yesterday was particularly poor.

Attempting to explain in the S & R after the game how we failed to win against a team with no goalkeeper was not a pleasant experience.

Those happy-clappies who seek to excuse the performance are just as toxic as the folk they try to censor and ban.

Having read nearly all of the posts on this, read very carefully I will only write this once.

Firstly, it was a point gained closer to promotion.

Secondly it was two points dropped.

Thirdly, we on earth did Fryatt take the penalty after being made to wait a long time and with Windass trying to wind him up while putting on the goalie's jersey. Fryatt should have walked away and let Howard take it.

End result Fryatt misses!

I'm not going to bemoan the fact that we failed to win, to me it's another step toward getting out of this crap division.

Let's move on, hopefully we can go 20 games without defeat, that would be one for the record books.

I've supported city for over 40 years home and away and believe me I've seen some rubbish... what we did (didn't do) tonight is up there with the worse...I don't care about our 11 naffin points clear...this is the 3rd division ffs!

Yes and if you hadn't noticed wer'e a 3rd division side.If your not happy write to the Mercury and get your £3 back,as i guess you only go when the tickets are cheap.........TWAT!

FFS, we don't half have some whingers. Yes, it was frustrating to watch yesterday, but the failure to give Oldham any credit makes some look about as arrogant as a Dirty Leeds fans. Oldham came with a game plan, and executed it brilliantly. This was always going to happen over the season, and all this talk of trouncing this league, well, isn't a 17 match unbeaten run, and 11 pts clear by the start of Feb evidence of our superiority?

A hell of a lot more than you Babylon....and that's a stone cold fact...go on prove me wrong!.... I'm not going to argue with you because you seem to get off on insulting posters on here but I stand by my remarks..we were truly terrible tonight and if you want to be Mr PC that's fine!

I find the two highlighted parts quite amusing.

Who are all these "happy-clappies" you are referring to? As far as I can see everbody who has posted on here has said what a poor performance it was. Just because the majority have retained a degree of perspective certainly does not make them "toxic".

I assume the happy clappers are those of us who make a deliberate attempt to support the team, instead of just moaning when it's not good enough  ?

I can't believe alot of the negativity on here, yes it was frustrating yesterday and we shouldve took advantage that they went down to 10 men, and had Windass in goal, but come on we are clear at the top of the league, give them a break

I think when they went down to ten men Pearson should've brought on another striker and went for it, but they were a strong team who didn't give us time on the ball. Credit to them.

You can't play to your best every game, get behind the team and stop whinging. Its about the season as a whole, certain games especially at the Walkers are going to be difficult as teams are up for it as its a massive game for them. And at home theres alot more pressure on the team, because the crowd get restless if we aren't winning after half and hour and don't get behind the team. Maybe the fans should look at thereself and get behind the team and try and help them to raise their game rather than going quiet or moaning. The fans should play their part aswell

The away fans seem to get behind the team, whereas at home, they don't and maybe this is reflected in the last 2 home games being draws and away games being wins

Oldham played very well last night, defended in numbers and still attacked even with ten men.

Unlike Brighton, this could be a point gained.

Prove that you have! Even if you have seen all these games and think it's the worst,t it just goes to show what a terrible judge you are. Which, lets face it everyone on here would agree with bar about 3 after the responses in this thread.

I'm not going to argue with you because you seem to get off on insulting posters on here.

You mean like that?

I believe you'll find i've said we were rubbish, I haven't thrown my dummy out of the pram in a hissy fit though... unlike some.

I thought Howard was our best player yesterday, the rest of them absolutley ridiculous apart from Hobbs and Morrison really, shameful performance I was so gutted.

oi baldy, just so you know in future, Leicester are the team that play in BLUE at home, and this season we mostly win.

Also make sure your newspaper (sun, sport?) is not upside down when you look at the league table. Leicester are top ffs.

I've seen some bollocks on this site, but this takes the biscuit.

ever thought of switching to Man U ? :giggle:

It was disappointing not to take full advantage of them having 10 men for the majority of the second half, and the fact that they had a non keeper in goal (although you wouldn't know) BUT full credit to Oldham, they did the job they came to do and that was to frustrate the hell out of us.

Even before the penalty miss I knew we weren't going to score yesterday, it was just one of those days but we've extended our massive lead and there's no need to panic or boo. The only thing that does concern me slightly is this is the second game in a row we've failed to score at home and have looked a bit under par, we just need to get back on track against Swindon and we've a clear week to get sorted.

I actually posted that reply without reading any of the rest of the argument that ensued - i was so mad at reading the initial post i just replied blind .... wish i hadn't now ..... doesn't seem to have added much weight to the discussion now!!!!!

First thing i have to say is well done to Oldham they fully deserved the point and :appl: to Dean Windass for having the balls to go in goal and save what he had to save.

To all the moaners, you only turned up because of the cheap mercury voucher, yes we didn't play as well as we could have and yes quite a few player played poor but on reflection we still got a point and played alot better than we had done for the past 2-3 seasons. Fryatt should of scored the penalty but didn't we are still 11 points clear of 2nd place now.

But in hindsight we are still on a 17 game unbeaten run and i would rather have this little wobble now and have a good run towards the end of the season against the likes of Peterborough, MK, Leeds and scunnie.

Fryatt may have looked a little lack-lustre but remember he has 25 goals and their are 9 (dont include keeper) other players on the pitch who can score aswell.

Yes we may have played badly but we still got a point and a clean sheet out of it, so lets look at the posertives:

  • 11 points clear
  • 1 point against Oldham at home (they are promotion contenders too)
  • 17 games unbeaten still
  • another clean sheet to add to the tally.

Now for me, its time to sit back and wait till saturday to see what happens. Swindon at home.
