Shameful

It seems that some fans only expect a 100% winning record not unbeaten in 17 and 11 clear at the top. :nono:

Yeah, they're a pain in the *rse. Fair play to your team today. They were one of the strongest teams we've played this season, both home and away. Playing as you did, I'm surprised you're not closer to an automatic promotion spot, rather than play-off place.

But this is a pisspoor league.

You may have made it your natural habitat. It isn't ours, and hopefully never will be.

Oldham played well, just like they did at their place. Leicester had a bad game, which is inevitable in a season of football.

Shameful?

Stop being so fcuking dramatic.

So it's come to this.

We play at home to a modest third division side, who are down to 10 men for nearly half the game, and fail to score against a makeshift goalkeeper.

And yet the happy-clappers are telling us that WE should be grateful for the point.

There used to be a time, not that long ago, when the name "Leicester City" conjured up images of quality and even on occasions, style.

On last night's evidence, those days are long gone - and won't be returning any time soon.

It's called football - get over it and get behind your team.

It may not be natural but when you're in a particular league then it's inevitable the team you assemble is going to be predominantly of that standard - that's why Davies cleared off.

You may think we're in the wrong league but we're here because that's the level at which we've been performing and by all accounts, apart from the odd hiccup performing better than the other 23 teams.

Nonsense. You blame us for everything and credit them for nothing. Ridiculous.

And I think you'll find a vox-pop of fans across the country know us for hard-pressing hoofball and not heritage of glorious silky skills.

Ok......thought you were the lucky ones

Martin hardly got troubled in our goal apart from one shot; Fryatt would have scored if Fleming hadn't tripped him, we scored a perfectly good goal, hit the inside of the post, one off the line.. so we were unlucky in some sense. However, credit where credit's due, you're the best side to come here and fair play for grabbing a point. Oldham are probably the team I'm scared of the most, in fact, in this Division... especially as you have a murderer up front

I've read through this post and after careful consideration I have come to this conclusion.

Barmy76uk and He's Not Bald are the cancer of this club, and like some have rightly said should be taken off this forum. You are not City supporters, you are ****s! Its support like yours we could do without. One bad game and the doom squad come out! Get a grip, every team has its bad days!

Fryatt has 25 for the season.

Even the best teams have their off days.

Another day, Fryatt scores that penalty, Oldham can't come back, no one moans.

I'm frustrated at this result but some people need lives, especially if they reckon today's performance was no better than some of the woeful stuff we were treated to last season.

Sort yourselves out.

This ^^^^^

I despise the LCFC forum these days.

Exactly we were outplayed for vast amounts of the game. Lets not turn into Leeds fans thinking we are better than everyone else. We have to earn the right and today oldham were the better team. Surely this can be a good sign of warning our players of complacency. Keeps the players feet firmly on the ground. Like oher said we still gained a point against a very good oldham team.

good call

It ceases to amaze me how fickle our fans are, and how completely out of touch they are. It almost seems that the revolving door of managers over the past few years makes it acceptable to slate the manager and players for the slightest mishap. Ill openly admit that in the past I have slated Fryatt, but no one can argue with his record this season. Everyone misses penalties now and again - you may say 'well there's no excuse for not even hitting the target, but to be honest even the great penalty takers missed the target now and again.

People won't be happy until we're losing to premiership opposition. It almost seems like our fans still think we're a prem club and somehow the opposition are not worthy of us in this league.

Wakey Wakey guys! We still have to battle to win this league.

Oldham are sixth in league 1...yes league one!...down to ten!...yes ten men!....with a 39 year old!...yes 39 year old!...striker!....yes striker!...in goal!...yes in goal!...wake up and smell the coffee...ffs! :frusty:

are you a leeds fan?

there is no guarentee we will win the league. ok we are doing well but lets not get to excited.

If this is the slip up that we are due and only get a draw with 10 man oldham i'm happy.

An off day. End of.

Some of our fans are fickle as f***. Don't want to whinge on about how long I have supported City and some of the dross I've witnessed, but we are 17 unbeaten, top of the table and 11 points clear. We are in Division One for a reason and will 90% get out of it. What's not to be pleased about?

Stop moaning.

If we play like this in the Championship we'll get hammered every week.

Why you are just focusing on one game? You seem to think this one game sums up the team and how it has/will perform, when quite obviously is doesn't. We wouldn't be 15 points clear of 3rd if it did would we.

Why didn't you post this after we thrashed Walsall, Peterborough and the multitude of other teams we have spanked over the season?

For every game like Walsall and Peterborough, there's been at least one game like Brighton and last night.

They do seem to be occurring with worrying frequency at the moment.

If and when we leave this division at the end of the season, I want it to be on a permanent basis.

I don't believe that's too much to ask.

You know Chelsea drew 0-0 yesterday? I suppose in your eyes we're biggger than them  ? Get real man.

For every 6-1 trouncing of Atlético Madrid there's a 3-2 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk.

Barca are shit, I'm surprised their entire fanbase doesn't go kill itself this weekend.

What games when we didn't play well but could quite easily have won, and on another day would have. If not for the woodwork and a penalty miss we would have won both games!!

17 games unbeaten is definitely worrying, i'm not sure how we are all sleeping at night.

You're asking for unattainable consistency.

Back on October 22nd you posted this : http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...=54402&st=0

Shortly after we went on a fantastic unbeaten run which is still ongoing. During this time, there was very little in the way of negativity coming from you. Now, on the basis of an isolated poor performance yesterday, your reaction seems to be once again a tad overstated.

I don't really think thats too much to ask is it? Surely we're not a yo yo League 1/Championship club now.

Pissed off, more than anything else.

ANY team of any quality should have wrapped that game up, once Oldham were down to 10 men.

Certain players let themselves down today. If it was a one-off I could forgive them, but this is the THIRD time already this year they've failed to produce at home.

We didn't tolerate this shite under previous managers. Nor should we do now.

The problem with other managers was that their 0-0's and shitty performances were sandwiched between defeats whereas we've now gone 17 games unbeaten and scored an average of two goals a game - pretty much double what we managed last season.

My criticism is really of how far we played below what we've shown ourselves capable of this season but it was clear from the time we hit the inside of the post and had the goal disallowed that it might well be just one of those days when nothing would qite go right.

It's no use lamenting the standard of this division. You'll give yourself an ulcer and whatever your frustration, it's the League we're in and our results/performances will probably have little bearing on what happens next season anyway.

I've always found the Barbars to be the perfect antidote for disappointment and can only suggest you change from halves to pints if its not worked so far!:D
