one of the few bands from 'this era' that maintained their musical integrity the whole way through and stuck to their sound despite everyone else jumping on trends. 

 

saw them at the roadmender just after this album came out and it was probably one of my favourite ever gigs

 

to see a band of that size in an 800 capacity venue was real special

30 years since release, still sounds top class. on release emi did their nut because it wasn't commercial sounding. only 6 tracks, no singles, no choruses, sparse, beautiful.

Not my favourite Dylan album and I find the production off putting but some strong songs here. 

 

Cant go wrong with Dylan’s performance on Changing of the Guard or Baby Stop Crying.

Just seen that someone has uploaded this love show that I have been looking for for years.

 

I was about 12 when this aired.  My Dad recorded it on VHS and I used to play it all the time (I think Pulp were on the same show or my Dad had recorded them on the same tape from something else).  It was pretty much the same time as they released the "Casual Sex At The Cineplex" album which we as a family loved, used to play Let's Go Shopping all the time (almost every single one of my musical loves are tied to memories of family, my Dad pretty much introduced me to everything).  Wouldn't say they were my favourite band but that one album is class and I just rewatched this live show and think it's held up really well.  Maybe it's because 12 year old Rumble loved it but still sounds great to me.  X
