Dan Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 The way i'd have it is: Just before the teams come out: 0:00 - 0:46 name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">Then the announcer welcomes the teams onto the pitch etc. Just after he does, have this from 2:17 - end and also in the background when the announcer is reading the teamsheets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xF0x3ScdT80...feature=related After they are done play Hey Jude like we do now. When we score have no music but have Jobber playing Carnival De Paris on his drum because for me that sounds quality, its fan generated noise and it gets the crowd going, where can it go wrong?
breadandcheese Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Right this might have been said - But no goal music!I don't care if it's Gary Lineker, Englebert Humperdink, Steve Walsh, Kasabian or even the Messiah. I'd buy that charity single collaboration. Maybe we can email the club and make it happen.
davieG Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 I'd buy that charity single collaboration. Maybe we can email the club and make it happen. They'd fall for it as well
Rich_Sheffield Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 I agreed with most people - no goal music however Leicester should come out some Kasabian track Fase Fuse Underdog Club Foot.... so many more PS saw them on there latest tour and they fooking rocked the place, not just rocking a little bit, I talking rocking at monolithic proportions
Shipman Out Posted 3 July 2009 Author Posted 3 July 2009 This is lifted from interview with one of them: Presumably if Leicester got to a cup final, you lot would write a song?Ha ha, probably not. I'm sure we could but it's more a matter of if we'd want to - though the rest of the band might insist. We have done a 15-second edit of our single 'Fire' and sent it to the club, though. We quite fancy the idea of 30,000 people singing 'I'm on fire' every time Leicester scored. Now that would be pretty cool. Kasabian release their blazing new single 'Fire', June 1 on Columbia - the first physical release from their extraordinary new album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum', out June 8. Oh dear I got it wrong its 15 second edit not 20 all bets are off! I like the idea there keen
The Doctor Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 i don't see why we even have to have goal music. people say its to "encourage fans to celebrate" but everyone celebrated before goal music except those mardy buggers in the corprate seating and they still don't celebrate with goal music meaning it has done fook all for the atmosphere at the ground.

Leicesters off to Wemberley na na, na na Where they will win the JPT na na, na na They beat Lincoln and Hartlepool Their football skills will make you drool Leicester Citys, going to Wembley Why i've made that up I have no idea.
Edmund Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Right this might have been said - But no goal music!I don't care if it's Gary Lineker, Englebert Humperdink, Steve Walsh, Kasabian or even the Messiah. No, absolutely not, by no means, no way, not at all, not by any means. No Goal Music! Sums it up for me. The only thing which would be slightly appealing and nostalgic is the horn that is sued on bbc radio Leicester.
Karljohn Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 No goal music!! Original PHG before kick off, if not, something, anything from Kasabian.
iancognito Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 The problem is that everyone thinks the club are insisting we have goal music ("If we must have it..."). They aren't insisting, and if they recieved regular appeals from a good number of fans not to have it, they'd have to take note. It certainly needs to go outside the walls of this forum. It needs to be raised in the Mercury, on the phone-ins wherever but I'm sick of feeling embarrassed to celebrate because it looks like I'm dancing to a wank indie tune. I can't believe anyone prefers to celebrate with music. 125 years and you need music to celebrate a goal. On an annoying scale, it's right up there with the tosspots who sit at the back of a bus or on train and have their headphones cranked up to full, like we all want to join in with their personal disco.
Webbo Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Sums it up for me. The only thing which would be slightly appealing and nostalgic is the horn that is sued on bbc radio Leicester. The BBC sued somebody's horn?
Kilworthfox Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Can we have a sticky with the topic being no more fooking goal music threads please? Goal music is shit! END OF! No Goal music even if Franky Wortho's lovechild writes a worldwide number 1 about Leicester City's goal scoring abilities, it STILL has no place at the football, ya get me?
Ultra Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 No goal music!! Original PHG before kick off, if not, something, anything from Kasabian. This.
Daggers Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 Goal music is never going away, safe-standing is never coming and ticket prices will continue in an upwardly direction. Taking those statements as a given, I'd like an exerpt from Fire as a little post-goal humalong. Something that is 'ours' rather than bland generic has to be a step forward even if you hate the concept.
craigadams22 Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 The new Kasabian track "FIRE" is not bad, I played it at Castle Mead Radio last Tuesday - Voluntary Hospital Radio Station here in Hinckley, On my two hour Voluntary Lunchtime Show. I like a bit of Kasabian music I don't tend to play many modern tracks on my show

StanSP Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 craig im part of a band called ashdowne will you play our music please we need a break Get your stuff on Myspace, Facebook, Bebo and just do some major advertising. Hopeflly for you, you might get spotted. Just do loads of advertising on bigger bands' pages, and when viewers look at their pages, they'll see a link for you. Anyway, back on topic, I'm not too fussed whether music is played or not. If music is going to be played, then at least have it something associated with Leicester i.e. PHG, Kasabian etc...
samcobblin Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 i was taking the piss we are on myspace and facebook we have been on absolute radio and radio leicester but if craig can play our tunes we would surely have made it
Candidcamera Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 What about Happiness off the new album also - lets set a trend not jump on one already rolling. Kasabian are top notch.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 I'd love it if City scored and everyone started going "I'm an eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasy, lover".
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 July 2009 Posted 5 July 2009 Right this might have been said - But no goal music!I don't care if it's Gary Lineker, Englebert Humperdink, Steve Walsh, Kasabian or even the Messiah. No, absolutely not, by no means, no way, not at all, not by any means. No Goal Music! I totally agree. NO, goal music. It's football we want to see, not a perishing concert. Nothing can beat the natural roar of the crowd.
