For those who complained about the hot weather...

You got your wish. <_<

10 straight days with horrid cold rainy weather. Don't you love British summer?

When you have to wear a jacket in the middle of July, you know you've failed in life.

Yeah. Oh so shit. Maybe it's just rose tinted nostalgia, but I swear summer didn't used to be this gash. Not saying every day was boiling hot but it didn't used to piss it down like this.

Summer seems to have moved back a couple of months. Nowadays we get warm, dry, sunny (ish) weather in April, May and most of June. Then it goes shit in July and August (new rainy season?) followed by some random warmth in September.

It's supposed to improve. It helps to chant that whilst sat hugging your knees and rocking back and forth in the middle of the floor.

That's a good point actually. The people that run festivals need to get wise then and push them back to May then so I don't have to go all bear grylls just to get from the pisser to the pear cider.

Is Global Warming to blame??

Course it is. If it gets hotter, it's Global Warming, if it gets colder, it's Global Warming, if there's a drought, it's Global Warming, if there's a flood, it's Global Warming. :D

I'm not a Global Warming sceptic, just a person who gets pissed off by the media's inability to comprehend the difference between climatic variability and climate change, which by definition can only be measured by looking at weather patterns over decades.

I'd rather have it like this than boiling hot. I'm not a fan of feeling a bit sweaty all the time, but some might be, I suppose.

There's no inbetween at this time of year, is there? It's either roasting or pissing it down with rain. Is 22 degrees and a bit of sunshine too much to ask?

Yes, it probably is

I don't think it was complaint. I prefere this weather, if i want to be in a hot country I'll go on hol. All it takes is an umbrella to defeat this weather. Whereas it was so uncomfortable working/sleeping/eating when it was really hot and you can't do anything about it.

Well said

Don't ya just love an English summer?!

I swear we don't get this amount of rain in the feckin winter...

I don't think we have had ever a half decent summer for a good 4 or 5 years now, we've had odd days of decent weather but i'm talking consistent glorious weather.

It's true that. It was defo more like summer for longer in the 80's. And always July/August.

And in the 80's it always snowed alot in winter aswell (not March and Feb like nowadays). We used to have massive snowdrifts round my way every December/January

I'm cold.

You're also a moderator. When the hell did that happen? I thought you were just a mere "Forum Leader".
