I really do think this is a case of people didn't want him to go, but it's no major loss, no-one is too bothered, and feel he is overrated to some extent, and 2 Million pounds? Based on what he has done at Leicester during his time in the first team - We've had there pants down.

Its been mixed on here Ive found (before he handed in the transfer request) some wouldnt hear a word against him but a lot didnt rate him. Someone ripped into me a couple of months back for saying Id snap someones hands off if they offered 2-3 million. Noticable by their absence now though

Me? I'd stay at city! 8k a week, fooking hell, it's hardly a wage to laugh at, just under half a mill a year, 19 years old and playing for your club. as opposed to me, 19 and on £50.95 a week. WAHEY I can't find the thread on Stearman leaving but I imagine it's almost identical! Whilst there was originally a lot of stearman hate people started to realise that as we'd been relegated he was making a good move for himself in terms of his career, he moved to his (i think) hometown club and now look where he is, fair play, whereas mattock is a supposed city fan and seems to be constantly trying to leave

Barr Stearman's first season, Stearman really was consistanly shite though...Unless he wanted to play, and when he could be bothered - Which was once in a blue moon. I was over the moon when we sold Stearman. Thing that pissed me off with Stearman was I knew what skill and potential he had, we'd all seen it in his first season, then the following seasons he was pisspoor, awful, at the end of the day we could have the best player in the world here, but if he isn't going to use his skill, or doesn't want to play for us what is the point in having them here?

Its true though, no player is worth the trouble if he has no respect for his manager by telling him face to face, I didnt mind Mattock as a Squad player but my opnion of him has dropped. I liked the lad and rated him, he had good potential but to put a transfer request in, not just once but twice, is fairly dissapointing considering he supported Leicester - well actually I think he supported Manchester United although he claims his hero is Emile Heskey.
