Uncle Monty Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Pearson signed Adams Yeah that's what i thought.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Adams is so much more than a winger. Distribution, tackling, running absolutely everything. And we're playing Gallagher out there. *sighs*
dandannieldanok Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I would rather of had him or Gradel on the bench than bloody Kermit. My sentiments entirely.
Corky Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 From what I saw last night Adams looked very positive and threatening. Took on the defenders, and noticeably when the Orient keeper caught the ball, he sprinted out, looking for the quick break. I hope he does well and comes back in with a shout of first-team action. He's not perfect but at least he's a winger, unlike Gallagher.
Jimmy Posted 27 January 2010 Author Posted 27 January 2010 just see their goals on ssn Kee's was a poachers effort Sappleton's was a cracking half-volley
StanSP Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Won't be long til the boo-boys start their calls for these 2 to return <_<
Vlad The Impaler Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 GET ADAMS BACK FFS! Should never have let him go out on loan in the first place, has got a bit of everything and he can put a good ball in the box. And before i get the 'oh, it's just a knee-jerk reaction' response, i've always been a fan of Adams.
Thracian Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 He didn't play and he's not on loan from us but I bet Sheehan loved seeing his latest club, Swindon, beat his "old" club Leeds 3-0 to continue their remarkable run up the table. Just think, had he still been here, we could have delivered the sort of corners Barnsley won the game with last night and we would have had at least one player in our back four who could and would have made an accurate 10-yard pass and also offered support beyond the halfway line and even up to the opposition penalty area if necessary. Yes, we're making stacks of progress!

But I do agree that we should be using him more as I rate him aswel.

Yes, we're making stacks of progress! We are in a division higher than Swindon and I think you need some help with a certain former player
RowlattsFox Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 What bizarre logic, NP was the one who made Max put in a transfer request! Yes, but Pearson said he wanted Gradel to return from his loan spell and didn't he say Gradel wasn't going anywhere? Until Gradel handed in a transfer request. I think he felt we could let Adams go because we had Gradel returning to the squad.
Thracian Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 We are in a division higher than Swindon and I think you need some help with a certain former player Sheehan made goals, scored goals, had a hand in goals, was second in most shots chart, and delivered consistently dangerous fre-kicks and corners in The Championship. Any one of those things would be a collectors item from any of our current full-backs.
sbfox Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Enough squabbling, looks like our boy Parkes played the full 90 for Burton again tonight! Anyone au fait with Burton Albion know how he played?

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Adams is no different to so many signings by City who get signed but are not actually utilised more than momentarily. Over the years the number is truly staggering and the waste of wages extraordinary given the club's financial situation.Remember the foreign legion? Kaebi, Djiziri, goalkeeper Neilsen, Bori, Laczko, Ferrera? Under Pearson there's been a massive improvement. DJ, Adams and Gradel have been largely sidelined, but they weren't Pearson's signings in the first place. Whooooooooooooooooo?? did i miss this one??
StanSP Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Whooooooooooooooooo?? did i miss this one?? We all missed him! He did the square root of fuck all here
Anish Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 I seriously don't understand why Adams hasn't had a look in this season. We've been crying out for a winger who can run at defenders and create and score chances, yet we had 2 of them and farmed them both out. Pearson's refusal to give fringe players a chance when the incumbents aren't performing is what has driven the likes of DJ, Gradel and Adams out of this club. Meanwhile, we're left with the hapless Oakley and Gallagher supposedly on the wings doing absolutely nothing of any note, game in game out. The more I think about it the more pi ssed off I get. And before people say it's because they're not up to standard etc, how can we tell if they're not given a decent run in the team? Both Oakley and Gallagher have had so many chances to impress this season but achieved nothing, and Adams gets 2 minute cameos if he's lucky.
lou Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Whooooooooooooooooo?? did i miss this one?? I saw him play in the reserves a fair few times........ you missed nothing!

So wonderful yet he found himself out in the cold at leeds, who preferred a CM to him at LB when they had injuries and is now getting a few games in the 1st division, you silly tit
