Thracian Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 yeah but he has not got legendary pace so he cant be very good....neither has sheehan... or porter... unless you are actually suggesting people can be good players whether they are fast or not????? With King it's his brain and his passes that move fast. In fact, Porter apart, he's probably the fastest passer in the club for the number of times he takes only one or two touches. Porter is no slouch but it is his speed, accuracy and range of passing that is his strength. Yes, he has the ability to score and create goals but first and foremost his quick feet enable him to retain possession in difficult situations. Sheehan is different altogether. Yes, he's got an excellent passing range and is accurate with it. He sees the pictures and can spot a runner. But his great strength is the pace he puts on his dead ball kicks - pace that can be deadly to any defence. No-one in the City side offers this, nor has done since his departure. And it's a quality worth quite a lot of assists and even a few goals, particularly from a full-back. What did Mattock deliver or even threaten in terms of goals or assists? Very little in truth and don't tell me he was a marvellous defender to make up for it. I rarely remember him being good let alone outstanding.
maddog Posted 16 October 2009 Posted 16 October 2009 Is Ricky Sappleton on loan because he's scored for Macclesfield against MAs Cheltenham.
lildave3 Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Is Ricky Sappleton on loan because he's scored for Macclesfield against MAs Cheltenham. I heard his Facebook profile picture gave him inspiration.

Jimmy Posted 24 October 2009 Author Posted 24 October 2009 Thanks for that. Interesting how Worley cannot get on the bench. not sure but that might be to do with rules on loan player numbers, he was playing and doing well for them
knowitall Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Thanks for that. Interesting how Worley cannot get on the bench. Worley injured and will be out for about another 6 weeks!

Hitesh Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Kisnorbo plays for Leeds I totally forgot about him. I still remember meeting him at the S****horpe game and whilst he was signing my programme I asked him if he was playing, he said no and didnt look happy. I then asked him if he is here for this season, he said no and then looked more annoyed and walked away!
lildave3 Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 LD3 - Scored Macclesfields second and was replaced after 73 mins, they drew 2-2 Boy's on fire.

CosbehFox Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Went Macc-Bradford today to be at the half-way mark for the 92. No R-Sap. Although Brian Deane was sat nearby myself.
MPH Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Gradel scored today didn't he? seems to be getting quite involved...... MPH Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=164454&st=0 they love him and he loves it there.... smacking the badge and everything....... think we might of lost him
Captain... Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 I would be gutted if we lost MAG to Leeds, I have always rated him as a player with a lot of potential. I hope he returns from his loan spell with fire in his belly and stakes a claim for a starting place. He will cause a lot of teams in this division problems and if he can find that final ball will be a brilliant player. All we can do is wait and see what happens, but I would love to see him terrorising full backs in the championship for us.
CupidStunt Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=164454&st=0 smacking the badge and everything....... Really? he is only on loan there, surely thats a bit of a piss take? unless he was just thumping his chest I know he must be frustrated at not getting into the current leicester side, but were still his club Like you say, he'll probably end up with a move there
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Quite pissed off that Gradel scored after like 4 games and only scored two all last season for us!
maddog Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 We don't need Gradel. He's obviously not that good otherwise Pearson would pick him. N'Guessan was awesome against QPR, Pearson clearly has a problem with Gradel, i wouldn't mind if he moves. In Pearson i trust.

N'Guessan had easily his best 90 minutes for us at QPR and long may that continue but it hasn't generally been the case. And there can be a host of reasons why a manager doesn't pick a player and not all are to do with how good they are.
Uncle Monty Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 Gradel is good, apart from his set pieces and running like a lunatic what else has he got to offer? I think he has found his level at league 1. What happened to Nicky Adams i thought he was cracking at the start of the season.

With sentiments like that not surprised if Gradel signs for leeds permanently.
