Legend_in_blue Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 When questioned about the incident had the decision gone for Warnock, he responds by deflecting the question onto something else. Typical Warnock. All mouth and no substance. He can wallow in it. The fact that it's happened to him, makes it all the more comical. Sit down Warnock and shut up.
Joe. Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Absolute joke of a decision, Warnock has every right to be incensed by it.
Tommeh Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 The Warnock abuse in here is extremely cringy.....I'd be fooking livid at a decision like that too and as for him refusing to shake hands and sarcastically applauding Bristol Citys fans, heroic! More managers like him and football would be a much better game. Ridiculous decision but still NO technology for me, once one thing is introdued MOTD will be like a fooking sci-fi film...Plus it's controversy like this which makes all the great talking points in football.
James. Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Maybe it's karma or something. Act like a bit of a cunt and you get a goal disallowed.
Fox92 Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 I would assume a goal kick as it seems the ref thought that the ball hit the advertising boards behind. I think they gave a free kick didn't they. Apparently, the linesman saw the ball go in and told Warnock and then when Warnock took the linesman over to the referee, the linesman said it was a free kick or something. Thats why Warnock said: 'He made up a free kick'. Ridiculas. I agree with Warnock. How can you not see it went in? And why didn't Gary Johnson and Bristol City give Crystal Palace a goal. Imagine, if Palace go down on goal difference or something and that Sears goal could have saved them.

I thought the linesman involved was on the far side of the pitch Didn't Bristol have a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside Obviously it's a shocking decision but Warnock should be the last to complain, it's not as if he hasn't 'deliberately cheated' himself.

Shrenchel Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Maybe it's karma or something. Act like a bit of a cunt and you get a goal disallowed. Exactly. I was laughing my chops off.
Father Ted Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Exactly. I was laughing my chops off. Same! How people can now be praising Warnock saying that football would be better with more people like him is beyond me! He is the biggest shit-stirrer around in football and deserves everything that comes around to him.

john_lcfc Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Disgrace. How the 4th official can't look at a camera for 10 seconds is beyond me. Palace got robbed to say the least. Its ok to say that but then you have to ask. Which incidents would he view? How would you decide which incidents to view. How would you stop play? How would you restart Play? Without having an interuption in the flow of play. For instance some say "check when the ball next goes out". Can you imagine an appeal for a goal at one end, ball stays in play cos no officials give it, defence goes up the other end and score, then 4th official looks at a monitor and rules that goal out and awards the original. It would be a joke and farcical for the crowd. Like i say until a solution which doesnt alter the laws of the game on restarts etc is made, it will not happen.
James. Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Id love it if we had Warnock as our manager. Imagine if Warnock managed MK Dons. You'd be in heaven.
Samilktray Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Imagine if Warnock managed MK Dons. You'd be in heaven. Only too true.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 The Warnock abuse in here is extremely cringy.....I'd be fooking livid at a decision like that too and as for him refusing to shake hands and sarcastically applauding Bristol Citys fans, heroic! Neil Warnock is an idiot and a total nobhead, people would of been alright with the 'Warnock abuse' before this. Yet when he comes to the Walkers everyone will be giving him shit. More managers like Neil Warnock? No thanks, so that would be more managers jealous of club's who fight off administration and still get promoted. Warnock is a belf. I still think this is an awful desicion for Crystal Palace as a club. How'd you come to that conclusion about MOTD looking like a sci-fi film?
Tevez Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Palace were robbed, Warnock was robbed and they ended up losing at least a point. I'm sure all fickle supporters of Leicester would be e-mailing the Fa and Football League trying to get the game re-arranged. Disgusting refereeing and it don't help Football one bit with shocking effort from FOUR match officials.
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 It may have been shocking refereeing that cost Crystal Palace as a club, but it doesn't change the fact that Warnock is an idiot. Fact of the matter is this - Warnock's reaction was unprofessional. Imagine NP doing that - it sends completely the wrong message to the players, he lost his cool, when he's the top man of the playing side of the club. You need a level headed manager in that situation - during the game you act with professionalism and get on with it - if you're going to say or do anything, let it wait until well after the game.

Katy Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Neil Warnock had every right to kick off but the way he goes about things does him no favours at all. I will never forgive him for dancing upon our grave so he deserves all he gets in my opinion, same with Dennis Wise and the same with anyone else who's shat on us. Yes, it is disgraceful that none of the officials saw this but I don't really give a shit about Palace and I don't really give a shit about Warnock, justice has pretty much been done in my eyes.
Koke Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 I bow down to Warnock for sticking it out and calling everyone out on their bullshit from the FA to the ref to Bristol City to the tea lady. If that happened to the club I was managing, I'd be ripping everyone into shreds. Good on you, Neil.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 I thought it was funny when he said that clubs will have to put cushions down at the back of the goals! Don't like him, but that has to one of the worst decisions ever.
leicesterseddon Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Just seen the replay. This would never have happened if we still had traditional goal netting instead of box-goals. I think that's the important point here

Like i say until a solution which doesnt alter the laws of the game on restarts etc is made, it will not happen. just introduce a system like in tennis where they have a certain number of calls for the technology to be used for controvesial desicions per game. stop play and restart the way you would if the ball became defective. drop ball from the place where the ball was when the call was made.
