Sincere, your post was not up when i started writing mine, so you beat me to it

you're post did sound kind of sarcastic, but maybe thats because i use sarcasm at every oppurtunity so everything sounds sarcastic to me.

Holloway ain't up there.

Peter Taylor for breaking a financial stable club with the most ridiculous buys ever. He makes Paris Hilton look like Uncle Scrooge.

Mark McGhihihi is another one of our worst villains.

David Speedie playoffs blackburn, dive in the box Blackburn went up, a few years later he signed for us. The fans had a love/hate thing with him

Jimmy Greaves. In the late 80's early 90's ITV had the rights for Division 2 football (as it was known then) whenever we appeared he slated the way we played, our team everything. To be fair to the chap I cant ever remember winning on telly at that time, but still.

Barrie Pierpoint was never the most popular chat

Jock Wallace was "close" to signing dutch master Johan Cruyff for City towards the end of his career

David Pleat? Shocking manager for us, although his commentary these days is reason enough to hate him.

For people that weren't a member of the club, I reserve a strong dislike for Bobo Balde and Neil Warnock.

wasnt pleat sacked because he was caught curb crawling?

Hey all

the last questions that I will throw your way are.

  1. Villains of LCFC: (unpopular players or those who left under a cloud – again serious or humorous)
  2. Not a lot of people know that: (a piece of obscure trivia)

Thank you all very much. I will link you guys to the book once published. Should be titled...

"The Essential Fans Guide to the Clubs of the English Football League"

Kind Regards

Jimmy

Peter Taylor..

he single handedly destroyed our Football Club.

Our relegaion to division 3 was a direct result of the state he left us in, and it will be YEARS before we recover from what he did..if we ever recover.

That was at Spurs, before he joined us.

The reason he left us was because we were p!sspoor and heading for Division 3 at the time.

Not sure about who the true 'villains' are and lots of people's may be different to mine but mine are as follows. In my own opinion and I don't care what happened and what didn't happen and all that but;

Dennis Wise because of what he did.

Joe Mattock becuase of the way he left and so close to the season plus he put a transfer request in two times

Gareth McAuley, Richard Stearman and Iain Hume for leaving when they were part of the squad that got the team releagated to the third tier of English football for the first time in the clubs history

Ian Holloway because he was the manager so he gets the blame for 'sending us down'.

Well most hated has to be Wise, no comparison to anybody else - the guy breaks a players cheek and complains when he's sacked??!!! Should've been up on a charge! (DISCLAIMER: ASSUMING THE RUMOURS ARE TRUE!)Wasn't a winding up order requested against the club to pay him but the courts wouldn't agree??! Number 1 by a country mile.

Forget Mattock -that's short term and we'll all have forgotten what a tosser he is in six months.

Peter 'fooking' Taylor - I've said Wise is numnber one but this is the only guy close - he only doesn't take it because he didn't take us to court. When we got him I was at uni in Canterbury, Kent. My mate was a Gillingham fan and thought he walked on water. I disagreed from day one. As that summer wore on and signing after signing came in I got more and more scared. Six months later once MON's team had been tore apart and his ethic had gone we started dropping like a stone. The man is a fooking maggot.

I have no real trivia I'm afraid. Although Pontus Kaamark used to live opposite me and above the letter box there was a trip (like the things put in children's clothes at school with their names on) saying 'Pontus Kaamark'...I think, I did go and knock on the door once but he didn't answer - damn shame I reckon he might've paid £3 for his cash to be washed!

People pay to have their cash washed?!:blink::P

i loved brian little when he was manager but hated him when he left because id just read his book which in it he said how much he loved the club and he wanted to stay forever in so many words , then he left a week later , heartbreaking at the time

David Wise and his agent - How I heard it, there was a meeting of creditors and a repayment plan was agreed - some of the debt would be written off. The only part to disagree to it was - yes, you guessed it!

As a result, the club was forced into administration.....

Trivia - during one match at Filbert Street it rained so hard that we couldn't see the other end of the pitch from the Double Decker. At one point before the game was abandoned, Steve Lynex fell, and then proceeded to commence breast stroke. He allegedly swam for 2 feet....

i think we're all forgetting one of the most recent utter tw@ts - Joe Mattock.

Les Ferdinand ain't that popular in my eyes for the way he left us either.

Les Ferdinand????? Fans player of the year that year players player of the year that year your having a larrrrfffffff!

He was too old and retired........

Posted

villains of the club - alan shearer for his kick at neil lennons head.

dennis wise for absolutely everything.

mark mcgee for his comments on wolves being a bigger club when he left.

not alot of people know - the old filbert street had an exact replica of the staue of liberty in the corner of the ground, (reduced in size of course)

Villains: Martin Keown.......being the catalyst for Micky Adam's departure eg bust up at QPR away. Didn't Keown get upset as LCFC didn't fly to away matches?
