Disappointing. But, as we've seen with Beckford, and Muzzy in the past, handing in a transfer request doesn't automatically mean he's going to go.

He's just frustrated that he's not been playing for us, understandable, but if he's given a go in the team he might have a change of heart.

That's not true though is it, before Gradel went on loan he wasn't even in our matchday squads, never mind making it onto the pitch as a sub. 15 minutes here or there at Leeds is far far better than playing reserve football for us.

Definately going to go, Pearson wouldn't have anyone that wants to leave at the club.

It is Leicester that have released this, so it shows its him that wants to go, not us selling him. If that makes sense.

What was with the Pearson is pleased to have him back bollocks we were fed minutes before this devastating news?

Was it just a tactic to try and rise the price for Gradel?

Can't blame the lad at all. If we let him go I can assure you this will be a signing that will come back and bite us in the arse.

Fair enough, means we don't have to pay him any kind of loyalty bonuses or anything doesn't it? Bit of extra cash in the kitty for a guy who doesn't wanna be here and hasn't contributed anything to our good position. He's a decent player but he's not exceptional, it's a shame but that's life.

Maybe Pearson doesn't want him to go and maybe he was happy to have Max back at the club? I'm sure Pearson didn't write his transfer request for him.

Agreed, the cup should be a chance for some fringe players to get a game and hopefully challenge for a first tema slot!!

Not surprised by Max's decision, he wants to be atleast making a contribution while even being on the bench, and i'm afraid the management at city haven't been able to!!

Perhaps I'm the only one who could not give a fuck whether he stays or leaves. His whole tiresome saga has gotten on my tits. He's a good lad, and he's a decent player - it just hasn't worked out for him here. I wish him well in the future. That is all.

he comes beack, sees we sign another right winger and buggers off.

cant blame him. here is no way you sign a 36 year old right winger Like Nobby if you dont intend to play him

Basically Max turns up at training on Thursday, see's Solano is there. See's his opportunities even more limited and has been overlooked again. Speaks to his agent, comes in Friday, hands in a transfer request and we sign Solano.

I like Gradel and cant blame him in a way as he wants to further is career, however, I am pleased we have signed Solano. I'd say Solano could be a perfect mentor for Max but he may have blown this opportunity now.

Still hope he stays.
