Nobody knows when any of the decisions were made, so I'm not sure how you can label is a joke. Pearson may have moved for him when it became clear Gradels head had been turned. I doubt very much Pearson is sitting there thinking it's a long term answer to any of our problems!!

Just my opinion, we shall see how it goes. We've signed that bit of class we needed. We need some1 that can cross the ball well, pass the ball well, and we've signed him. Gradel's got a right to leave, he played 28 games last season in league 1, and has only came on as a sub in the Maccelsfield game. He's not going to be played, so whats the point in keeping him except for the future.

We badly need fresh blood as we have got a lot of tired legs and Gradel , who is a big hit in the club , will come in and give us a lift straight away !

Houdini Logic Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 From a Leeds fan's perspective, I can say that if we sign Max for anything less than 300k , we have got ourselves a real bargain. First and foremost , Max has hit it off with our fans in a sensational manner with his amazing performances from the bench. His dynamic style and general attitude seem to fit Grayson's standards for his team very well. He enjoyed every minute here and quite visibly , there is immense potential in this lad and he only needs to settle down somewhere and play regularly. One of those players who needs his manager to put an arm round his shoulder off the pitch and his team mates to give him the confidence and support he needs on the pitch. Everyone loves Max here and the team is built in a way that players like Max can go and do his thing every week. His potential is above league 1 IMO and we shall wait and argue about it in a couple of years time. Good luck for your season and Thanks for Max I think some Leeds fans will change their opinion after he does nothing but run into players legs for 5 games on the trot...

Im surprised he wants to leavus to play bench football for Leeds though. I cant see him being much more than an impact player myself but he could be one of the few that will leave us and end up regretting it. Lets hopw we have a sell on clause for once.

demon_dog Posted 24 January 2010 Posted 24 January 2010 While some will be glad to see Gradel gone and others wish he would stay IMO no matter what happens we do not know the full facts. It's seems strange that Pearson has stated several times that Maxi is in his plans, a player for the future da, da, da................ If this is the case why send him out on loan? It cannot be due to match fitness, he has already played in the lower division, does this mean he needs more experience? Is it that he does not fit in NP's plans now or in the future? Who knows. From a players point of view, he obviously wants to play as often as he can, who can blame him for that? As for a move to Leeds, well if he feels that he is being frozen out by NP,(which seems to be the case) then even if it means sitting on the bench it must be a better alternative. At least it shows that he is wanted It's far better to work somewhere knowing the management appreciate what you do, than be constantly overlooked. Which seems to be what is happening in this case. Whatever the outcome, good luck to him.
