Jon the Hat Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Can't blame him - limited chances here and he is clearly impatient to move on with his career. It may or may not turn out to be the best call in the long run, but he is old enough to make his own decision and live with them.
Fox92 Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Obviousley wants to play for Leeds. Couldn't care less, he was never that good.

I quite agree, he clearly wants to push on in his career which is to be commended. He's not getting a look-in here, so it makes sense. I wish the lad no animosity. I regret that we couldn't utilise his obvious talent and improve him into a first-team player. Maxi clearly has the ability which we saw in a number of bursts (I can remember him terrorising Stockport in the bup at the Walkers).
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Couldn't care less if he goes. Has he started this season for us? No. He's a league one player, If he's not good enough for NP to pick him, then tough titties.
Vo Rogue Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 What was with the Pearson is pleased to have him back bollocks we were fed minutes before this devastating news? Was it just a tactic to try and rise the price for Gradel? Can't blame the lad at all. If we let him go I can assure you this will be a signing that will come back and bite us in the arse. You are probably right. What else we lose, when Pearson moves these young ones on that have lived here most of their teen years and probably loved LCFC, is a heart and soul. That then disappears . And we end up as in recent games with some very heartless displays from players using the club as a stepping stone.

And I notice how Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City etc are struggling without a team full of home grown talent. My heart and soul is with Leicester, doesn't mean I'd be any good though.

He was kissing the Leeds badge and talking about how much he loves the club & its fans after only a few sub appearances there. Yeah it was probably motivated by being pissed off at not getting a look in here but its hardly the actions of someone who has got Leicester running through his veins.
David Guiza Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 He had a brilliant pre season last season followed by alot of average games with the occasional flash of brillaince, e.g Hereford away and MK Dons away. Pearson obviously doesn't rate him that highly by the fact he has played once in the league cup this season and then got shipped off to Leeds. I will be sad to see him go because he has came up through the ranks to make the first team but other then that i'm not to fussed.
GLC Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 i want to change my name shame to see him go, but lets look to the future
hackneyfox Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Fee already agreed. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/leeds-united/...er-1010350.html
Wycombe Fox Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Fee already agreed.http://www.eatsleepsport.com/leeds-united/...er-1010350.html To be forever 'undisclosed' no doubt. I'm sad that Gradel looks to be leaving. Oh well...not the first and won't be the last. Good luck to the lad, whatever transpires.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Bye Max. Just hope we as a club do not rue this happening in a couple of seasons time. Hope he has a good career ahead of him.
C-man Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 He's been training with the youth team also. Since when? I doubt he was training with the youth team when he was in the squad for Saturday.
lcfcsnow Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Since when? I doubt he was training with the youth team when he was in the squad for Saturday. So we got 'told'. We also got 'told' by Pearson, that he was looking forward to his return and that he likes Max, whilst in the meantime arranging a deal for yet another wide midfielder after other acquisitions have failed to deliver. Patronising if you ask me.
MrSpaM Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 I'm not being funny but the only major thing he's done for this club was that free kick at MK Dons last year. Now we have a player that 'should' be creating chances like that every time he plays as long as he can still perform. Good luck to Max, he's a decent player, if Leeds get promoted i can see him not playing for them again though, and then the only way is down.
iancognito Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Good luck to him. He's obviously found his level and if in a year's time he's being shipped out on loan to a league one club again we'll know he's just one of those players.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 I've always liked him but he has never really seemed to care that much about Leicester to me.
beastiebites Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 I think 'potentially' you have lost a good player in Max. I know a few of you never rated Kisnorbo highly but he has been one of Leeds's best player by a mile. Post match reviews in the papers usually deservedly give him an 8 or 9 and is a complete rock in central defence. Gradel is another player that seems to have shined for Leeds as an impact player and bar one game have changed the game somewhat by coming on in the last 20 minutes, either with a goal or with an assist. A flash of brilliance like this does suggest he does have it in in his locker, maybe not always but could be a good investment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BAMWYY776E Im sure you hope he does well in his career, even if it is us dirty Leeds.!! Good luck for the rest of the season.

Maxi has not got near our first team this season, and unless he improves a lot in the next 9 months he will be very lucky to be very close to yours next season either.
