Ha!! Yes mate...

Its just got Derby County at the top, the stick ram as you put it! :-) and then Super Rams at the bottom, all in black and white!

Nothing that could have offended Forest fans to incite trouble, it was a flag for christ sake!

Fair enough then, absolute crappy decision. Bring in 3 or 4 flares instead.

Wouldn't expect anything else from the most plastic club in the world to be honest...

They have a massive one as well displayed on the top tier to avoid that lovely empty concrete shell for the second tier (if it's ever built).

Hi guys,

I am the Derby fan that carrys the flag to all home and away games. As i am sure you are aware the flag came to your ground back in the 07 season.

As always i call the relevant club beforehand to check and since its only been Forest that have rejected it i am very dissapointed in LCFC decision to reject the flag.

The reasons i have been given are below:-

The away end will be full (it was back in 2007!)

The flag is to big (it hasnt grown since 2007!)

The reasons that Forest gave were that it could incite trouble or violence, something that your club has not mentioned!

Like previous posters have been saying this is ruining football, i am a keen follower of Brazilian football and the flags and banners look great, adds to the atmosphere and makes a game more enjoyable from my point of view. This is killing football!

Anyway, the reason i have posted is to let you know my side of the story and am also good friends with the original poster, due to this decision we have come to blows!!!! :-)

Good luck for the game on Saturday

regards

Nick

Tbh the best atomsphere starter is the plastic dicks being thrown at oppostion fans in the schalke V dortmund game. can't not laugh at fans being reduced to that in an attempt to start a fight. :P

Still don't see what the problem with the flag is: until the start of last season (correct me if wrong) we passed a giant flag along the kop end, only difference being that your end is smaller and will actually have more than 50% of it filled, however if you only pass it around before the match then there is no-one on earth except exceedingly old people who scream "down in front" if you stand up to celebrate a goal. :P

Every club in new stadia requires all flags to have fire safety certificates.

Thanks for all your support guys...

Even though we perhaps hate each other just shows that real football fans understand each other after all and all want the same thing - a good atmosphere at a local derby!

Respect to the Leicester lads!

Are you on my facebook Ashley???????

I just literally updated my status saying that we were allowed to surf it at Forest Green in a stand that only holds 300!!! If you are on facebook search Derby County Fans Flag group and you will see the pics! You probably dont want to but the pic of the flag at Forest Green looks funny!

I sat next to my Mate in the old Main stand at Filbo and he had a big `fag` took him 20 minutes to smoke it, everyone around couldnt give a feck if he had a 100ft square flag afterwards,. ;0) :scarf:

Nothing will give me greater pleasure to beat Derby and i'll be there chanting my head off...

But what a silly decision... Heaven forbid that we allow something that increases the atmosphere and excitement of the game!

I'm pretty sure Fez had to get a fire certificate so he could put the big FT flag up at the Walkers. It's not really that cretinous a thing to want to check a flag is fire proof

I'm sure I remember when we played Derby, they levitated it over their fans rather than placing it.

Stupid decision.

I vaguely remember that as well.

And the FA will be sending a complaint letter to FIFA for the few flares that went off in Ukraine. What a bunch of fannies.

no they are complaining about them being thrown towards Rob Green (potentially VERY dangerous, I remember 1 hitting Dida in a CL game a year or 2 back), despite them being BANNED from the ground for obvious safety reason

We all know what forest are like, They will not let you take a flag, but i bet theres more flags than the olympics when they play away.

If I saw your Derby flag I would do a big steaming turd and wipe my arse with it. :)

As long as the flag doesn't obscure the view of the Derby fans watching Leicester score, I can't see what harm it does. It is fireproofed (so all the flares can't set it alight) and just flown before the match starts, what on earth is the problem?
