StanSP Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 I'll wait and see if I have nightmares or sweet dreams tonight before commenting further... It will be a beautiful nightmare if so.
darko2k7 Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 ill only be happy with him signing if he only gets a PAY AS YOU PLAY deal that why if he is a nightmare buy he should not cost us as much.
Guest Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Am I the only one who thinks Andy King is very over-rated by the Leicester fans? Derby was his best game by far this season. Fair enough he doesn't make many mistakes, but I strongly have to question his impact on a game, I know he's only young but unless he starts to impact games more often then he'll never make it in the Premier League. I'm sure you're not the only one but he's really come into his own in the championship over the last couple of games. He's not the flashiest player on the face of the earth but he does what he does very well, and even if not with us I'm sure he'll play in the prem during his career. King = Winner!

To be honest, at the start of the season I slated him because he wasn't getting involved in games and it was passing him by etc but he has grown this season. I thought he was great at Coventry and Derby and he tidies the midfield up nicely, he gets back to help out but he does all this with a minimull fuss, and you don't really see it. I wouldn't say that all the Leicester fans over-rate him but I personally think that he deserves his plaudits for the past matches or so, because I think he has played very well.
J.Lisemore Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Obviously it would be nice to have such a 'legend' here but admit it, there is a reason why he retired.Andy King in 2009 is better than Edgar Davids in 2009. Discuss. Doubt it.
StanSP Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Does King have dreadlocks? No. Does King have goggles? No. Does David have both of these? Yes. Sorted.
flanimal Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Davids is better than King. Davids ability to pass the ball is better than anything King can offer. The boost it'd give to players, they'd all want to up their standards to try and be on Davids level. Davids organisation and understanding of football would benefit everyone. Can Davids chase the ball like he did, or battle on a pitch? I don't know, but if he can he's a lot better than King, if he can't, I think he is a better footballer.
Scow Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 There is no doubt about Davids being a better player than King - providing he's fit and has the appetite for playing Championship football. Simple as that.

Against Derby he played well, got involved in the game and showed he had ability. But where was he against Palace? Did very little for me, like in most of his games, I've never known of a player you forget is playing so often. Fair enough he is only young but I don't think he does enough. To be honest, at the start of the season I slated him because he wasn't getting involved in games and it was passing him by etc but he has grown this season.I thought he was great at Coventry and Derby and he tidies the midfield up nicely, he gets back to help out but he does all this with a minimull fuss, and you don't really see it. Like I've said, he isn't rubbish but our fans making him out to be better than Edgar Davids is laughable.
AyewJoking Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Andy King is not fit to clean Edgar Davids' glasses. However, King is worth £3 million.
Hitesh Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Andy King is not fit to clean Edgar Davids' glasses. However, King is worth £3 million. Based on what? I wouldn't price him that high..
Father Ted Posted 30 October 2009 Author Posted 30 October 2009 David Edgars isn't fit to clean Kingy's boots!
BedsFox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 In a very very good midfield tonight Kingy played excellently I thought. Superb distribution. Complements Wellens well
sdb Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 PLAYED well. One of Wellens/King/Oakley needed to plug the DM gap more in the 1st half but improved 2nd. Was an issue on Mon too
Dames Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 He seems to tidy up very well and is always available for a pass. His future is definitely that of a holding midfielder.
Thracian Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 He seems to tidy up very well. His future is definitely that of a holding midfielder. Or a dustman.
