Corky Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 I am not saying I would play him, so don't quote me on this one, but he does look good in training, doesn't he? I thought that Stockdale, Martin, Fulop, Taylor all better goalkeepers than Weale - no offence. Martin?

I thought that Stockdale, Martin, Fulop, Taylor all better goalkeepers than Weale - no offence. Next you'll be telling us that Warner was better than Weale. So painfully obvious that you're talking rubbish just to get a reaction. Oh, and the result against Sheff U was 1-1 just for reference

So painfully obvious that you're talking rubbish just to get a reaction.Oh, and the result against Sheff U was 1-1 just for reference I'll not be saying Warner's better - it's an opionion. And, yes it was, I have put my Football Manager score instead.
Fox92 Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Enough's enough. Get out of my thread, you're talking shit. Its just an opinion isn't it? You can have yours and I can have mine.

I thought that Stockdale, Martin, Fulop, Taylor all better goalkeepers than Weale - no offence. Possibly a case for the other pair however.
Samilktray Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 John Lennon is a better keeper than Chris Weale.
StanSP Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 Deservedly so I think: http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/Leiceste...il/article.html Goalkeeper Chris Weale has been rewarded for his superb performances for Leicester City by being nominated for the October Championship's player of the month award. The 27-year-old has been a revelation since arriving from Bristol City in the summer on a free transfer. His consistent performances behind a solid defence have been a cornerstone of City's good start to the season. He has been an ever-present and has kept seven clean sheets from 18 games, and has been beaten only 16 times. After leaving Yeovil Town in 2006 after seven years as the club's No.1, Weale struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot at Bristol, mainly due to injuries, and made just nine first-team outings in three years. After spells on loan at Hereford United and Yeovil, Weale was snapped up by Nigel Pearson. City fans may have been forgiven for wondering whether Weale could make the step up as the club's regular No.1 but his solid performances have dispelled any doubts. Weale spoke earlier in the season of his aim to be City's first choice keeper. "Hopefully we will only use one keeper this year and it will be me," he said. "If I keep improving and stay injury-free, I will be an ever-present. "I was a regular at Yeovil and enjoyed it." He added: "At Bristol I wasn't playing regularly and I believe I am a No.1. "My performances will dictate that and the manager dictates that in his team selection. But as long as you come in every day and work on your areas, try to improve and have a good attitude, then hopefully you will get selected." Also nominated for an award is Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt, who is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, Cardiff City's Peter Whittingham and Swansea City defender Alan Tate. The winner will be announced tomorrow from 9am on Soccer AM on Sky Sports.

davieG Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 ARE YOU WATCHING, ARE YOU WATCHING ARE YOU WATCHING FOX92! He wont be able to accept it as he keeps moving his hands away.
Jon the Hat Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 "Hopefully we will only use one keeper this year and it will be me," he said. "If I keep improving and stay injury-free, I will be an ever-present. Not the sharpest tool in the box is he? Now you have played all the games so far Chris, who else can the the only one to play this season??
lou Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 He wont be able to accept it as he keeps moving his hands away.
lildave3 Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 Bloody hell! Someone that isn't a striker nominated?!
StanSP Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 Bloody hell! Someone that isn't a striker nominated?! He's just THAT good
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 As the Skysports Fanzone bloke its my job to nominate a player each month. October left me puzzled a bit - all the goals had been spread out among the forwards, this made me look toward the backline esp as we'd conceded only 2 goals in October. Chris Weale deserved it over any of our defenders in my opinion. We'll see if he gets it on Soccer am tomorrow morning! What do people think about him being nominated? In my 100 word summary of why he should be nominated I ended it saying something like he'd been "Wealey Wealey good"

Jimothy Posted 14 November 2009 Posted 14 November 2009 I think Whittingham should hand to award over to Weale, he really doesn't look to chuffed about winning it. http://www.football-league.co.uk/champions...2248204_1875468
Captain... Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 I think Whittingham should hand to award over to Weale, he really doesn't look to chuffed about winning it.http://www.football-league.co.uk/champions...2248204_1875468 It is a pretty awful trophy, a silver coke bottle FFS, I would melt it down and turn it in to something better to look at, like a silver dog turd.
Fox92 Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 I don't think he is.I think he genuinely thinks Weale is poor Not saying he is poor, but the jury's still out yet. John Lennon is a better keeper than Chris Weale. Grow up. ARE YOU WATCHING, ARE YOU WATCHING ARE YOU WATCHING FOX92! Yes, and he didn't get it did he? He wont be able to accept it as he keeps moving his hands away. You have noticed that as well? Finally... __ Whittingham deserved it aswell.
Corky Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Yes, and he didn't get it did he? Should be dropped in that case.
StanSP Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Should be dropped in that case. Send him on loan somewhere. Get Carl Pentney back in goal.
