CupidStunt Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Would love us to win this one, but can see the baggies taking all 3 points on this one with a dubious goal
willchafer Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 **** it 3-0 to the city! fryatt, howard and hobbs trying his luck from range and it turns out to be a screamer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
melbourne_foxes Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 so can't wait for this game, angered that two of my best mates have tickets while i'm stuck thousands of kilometres away
Guest Bilo Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Two very strong sides brimming with confidence, should make for a close encounter. West Brom are likely to come and attack right from the off, which will suit us down to the ground as QPR learned to their cost on Friday night. The Baggies are arguably a stronger side than QPR though, so we're unlikely to dominate them in the same way. It's going to be tough for both teams, going to be close but I'm going for a tight 1-0 win for City with Waghorn getting a deserved goal.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Win 3-1 they are not good at the back and we are. But can we score more than 2 in a match? We always do better agaisnt better teams, hence my prediction.
Katy Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 The first home game I'm missing in a long while. We are buzzing at the moment but so are they, I am hoping home advantage will play its part in us winning. Meh, I'm going to sit on the fence and go for 1-1. Eeeesh.
Salieri Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 I think people are forgetting WBA form was a bit shaky prior to their demolition of Watford. They'll come to attack which will suit us, and after the QPR result our confidence will be sky high. An entertaining game with us running out victors, 2-1.
Joe. Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 West Brom are always a worrying Championship side for me, they've got bags of attacking flair and threat in their ranks. I guess they're much like QPR in many ways, as in pretty devastating going forward but quite possibly vulnerable at the back. Play like we did on Friday night and we'll get something without a doubt. Still don't fancy playing them at all though.
clazkel Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Im coming back from Butlins in Bognor Regis for this game, i cant miss it. I hope its worth it. If we play the way we did against QPR then i dont see why we cant beat them. Fryatt 2, Waghorn 2, 4-0 to the blues
Simo86 Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 1-1. Fryatt scoring first. WBA to score late on.
cecchini Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 The baggies always beat us. I think it's going to be a rude awakening to the real gap in quality between the Prem and the championship. they will beat us by a margin of 2 goals.
Dames Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 If we switch N'Guessan to the right he will tear Mattock a new one. That could be key to our chances.
Dr The Singh Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 Baggies are team suited for our play, they will attack in numbers and give us space to attack them. We tend to struggel against teams that sit back because our natural play is more rigid and disciplined, our midfielders rarely push past our strikers!! All in all, it should be a great game to watch, especially if we score first.
StanSP Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 The baggies always beat us.I think it's going to be a rude awakening to the real gap in quality between the Prem and the championship. they will beat us by a margin of 2 goals. Erm no they don't always beat us. Remembr when we beat them at their place 4-1? Howard hat-trick? And then season before that 1-1?
Bert Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 I think a draw myself. Our strong point will cancel out their weak point I think. If Brunt plays then we could we in for a long game. If Mattock plays, we're going to target long balls toward him. He'll perhaps have the game of his life though. This is going to be very tight, and if anything decides this, it's probably going to come from a mistake....
morris1234 Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 i have just seen west broms goals against watford and its not a win that impressed me tbh. Every single goal was shocking defending, truly sunday league stuff and most of which were through route 1. i fancy us for this one, as long as we dont do a qpr and just expect to play well! we have to trun up and give more than we did friday because they are where they are for a reason!
maddog Posted 2 November 2009 Author Posted 2 November 2009 Will the man we wanted score against us, will he even play Striker Simon Cox is looking to use his goal against Watford as a spring board to greater heights after finally getting off the mark.Having signed from Swindon in the summer Cox has found first-team football hard to come by and the start against Watford on Saturday was only his second of the campaign. He is hoping his performance and goal will be enough to see him keep his place against Leicester next weekend. "It's been hard but I have just had to work hard and bide my time - and I was happy to do so," said Cox. "But when you feel you've got a point to prove, it's nice just to get out there and play. "If you can score a goal it's even better "I've been working hard in training and trying to score as many goals as I can and when you get your chance you have to take it. "I went out to enjoy myself and relax and enjoy the whole occasion and hopefully get on the scoresheet, which I did in the end. "Confidence now is high and I just hope now that I can build on the goal that I have scored."
Raj Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 We've done well against Rob D Mattys teams in the past have we not???
maddog Posted 2 November 2009 Author Posted 2 November 2009 We've done well against Rob D Mattys team in the past have we not??? 1 win, 1 draw against the Dons last season. 1 loss, 1 win against WBA the season before. 1 draw, 1 loss V WBA the season before that one. West Brom form is poor. Di Matteo form is good, but he's only managed Mk Dons before WBA

The Doctor Posted 2 November 2009 Posted 2 November 2009 i'm quietly confident for this match, they have been poor since beating middlesbrough a month or so back and if we can play even half as well as we did on friday we have a very good chance of winning. 2-1 us.
