C-man Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Well, they're obviously not literally non-league if they're playing in League One are they? C'mon Dave, let's not get literal.
Daggers Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 So whats your view. did we buy our position, or have we got there by playing, let's face it, just above average football with grit and determination to get the equalizer or winner?we've only had a couple of outstanding performances this season but we are still third in the table. We are deservedly where we are, simple as that. Oh, sorry, my bad - you are totally right.
Bryn Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Oh, sorry, my bad - you are totally right. To be fair to this one Daggers, what he said was actually kinda more of a fact than a view, but hey ho.
Captain... Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 We are where we are becuase we have won 8 games drawn 6 and lost 3, we are in third position becuase we have the third most points in the league, and at the end of the season if we have the third most points in the league that will put us in the top 25 of the strongest teams in the strongest league in the world. These are facts, how we get there is irrelevant. We don't know what would have happened if we didn't get relegated, but we did and now we are third in the championship and have a big trophy in our trophy cabinet from last season, we have a winning mentality, which is priceless, and a solid squad. We have a long way to go, but anyone who isn't buzzing right now about the way we are playing is weird. As for Robbie I still love him, I don't care what he has done elsewhere he was an integral part of the best Leicester team in my supporting history, I feel sorry for him, becuase he is a bit dumb, but I will never forget how he played for us, and part of that is how he plays for Derby now, and he would do anything for them because that is the type of player he is, in the same way he would have done anything for us. Anyway another fantastic result, a long way to go but a win aginst scunny and it will be a sign of intention to really put our mark on this league and challenge those that are deemed too good for the CCC, we are too good for CCC, and don't anyone forget it
teblin Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Please forgive me, a humble newbie starting a thread, but robbie savage is a c..t.Quote- "Their top 3 spot (leicester), for me, they shouldn't be there." And then there was some rambling on about any team can beat any team. Yeah well any team seems to be beating you quite regularly robbie. Maybe he means we should be top?
Guest Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 and the moron on radio leicester today who said that one season division 3 might have done us good is mentally retarded...division three is the worst thing EVER to have happened to this club...the damage caused by holloway is immeasurable and of peter taylor like proportions. those 2 w*****s did their utmost to destroy our club , yet here we are..knocking ont he door again. are you on the same columbian marching powder as savage???!!! going down to league 1 was the end of days...the worst thing that has ever happened to our team and even if we had managed to stay up, mandarich would have definatly fired that chimpanzee holloway and it wouldn't take a rocket science of a manager to clear out all the shit...heck even Barry Fry could have done that. League 1 served no use at all apart from us lot getting to see us win a few games against literally non-league teams playing on park-life type pitches. thta league 1 is a seriously BAD place to be for a team like ours. Seriously? Do you honestly think that we would have gone on to improve last season, had we stayed in the Championship? Do you honestly think that we would be in the same position this season, had we stayed in the Championship?
SMX11 Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 What did Claridge say to Sav when they were talking about Middlesbrough? It sounded like "Every team we talk about seems to beat Derby"
Corky Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 are you on the same columbian marching powder as savage???!!! going down to league 1 was the end of days...the worst thing that has ever happened to our team and even if we had managed to stay up, mandarich would have definatly fired that chimpanzee holloway and it wouldn't take a rocket science of a manager to clear out all the shit...heck even Barry Fry could have done that. Really? Four consecutive seasons of shit and no-one close to clearing it out. Relegation woke the club up, and it's a far better club now than it has been for years.
Guest Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 I really don't mind going unnoticed all season. Suits me quite perfectly . Couldn't agree more. Not really fussed about media coverage, going quietly about our business seems to be working well.
StanSP Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 What K-A-J said. The more we go unnoticed, the less pressure there is on us to perform I think.
Cat Burger Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Manish is the only Leicester supporter on that panel, he's also a real professional. He's not going to engineer the discussion around his own team is he? He's not even the one who decides what they talk about.
lou Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 I must be mentally retarded too then as I thought going down to league 1 was the making of us and I had the best time Ive had for years! IF we had managed to stay up wed have been bottom 3 again now and another season of abject mediocrity at best. I personally think we are doing better than I expected and being an eternal pessimist dont expect it to last for the whole season but Im not now worrying about relagation and have far more hope for the future than I have done for years. Im happy with a top half finish still but anything better would be a bonus. Just going to enjoy the whole season
Ultra Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Savage is captain of Derby. So anyone who thinks he's going to dish out praise for us on TV is deluded.
lou Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 He also tried to come back here a while back and NP said No..... hes just bitter
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 I don't mind when we are not being mentioned what so ever, but what did annoy me was when Savage said Derby should have beaten us!
Jay Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 I don't mind when we are not being mentioned what so ever, but what did annoy me was when Savage said Derby should have beaten us! I thought that was funny must have been a different game to the one I watched because in the game I witnessed Derby had no intention of trying to win the game and were more that happy to take a draw from kick off. He's Derby captain though so he has to say them sort of things
lcfc_jme Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 To be honest, the question should be "Who is the biggest cunt out of the following massive cunts??": A) Robbie Savage B) Kevin Barclay C) Neil Warnock D) Peter Taylor E) Richard Scudamore F) Josef Fritzl or G) Stoke
blueincornwall Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 What did Claridge say to Sav when they were talking about Middlesbrough? It sounded like "Every team we talk about seems to beat Derby" Before this I think he was wound up because they said he made a cr*p centre half and his sluggishness led to Derby conceding a goal.... But after Claridge said Derby seem to get beaten by everyone, Savage got a real toot on and only commented on 1 game for the rest of the show. He tried to embarass Claridge by saying he had a poor first touch (one of Claridges first touches put us in the Premier league), but Claridge laughed it off. I would love to have been a fly on the wall after the show...reckon savage had a barney at claridge ..... Dont think we'll see savage back on there again..! Blueeee aaaarrrmmmy :chant: :chant: :chant:
Daggers Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 I'm more bothered that the entire show manages to make Football Focus with Bob Wilson look brilliant. Stilted conversations, inane & vapid blonde contributions all set in a storage warehouse. I preferred ITV - sort it out BBC.
Unit Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 sav got quite red faced after he was shown up for his poor defending, made me laugh. i'm sure manish had a jib at him at the very end but i was quite drunk by that time and can only remember laughing.
Fox You Forest Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 The ****s on MOTD2 now, can't get away from him. Probably doing all this media work because he knows his legs have gone.
Matt Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 To be honest, the question should be "Who is the biggest cunt out of the following massive cunts??":A) Robbie Savage B) Kevin Barclay C) Neil Warnock D) Peter Taylor E) Richard Scudamore F) Josef Fritzl or G) Stoke D
