Terribly unfunny and goes off on ridiculous tangents about things in no relation to the game. Sinclair is just as bad. With his 'lickle lay-offs'. Both constantly interrupting each other also.

I don't mind the tangents, fills the gaps whilst the game is flat. Stringer is entertaining and describes the game very well, surely that's what's it's all about?

Never mind, the top commentators don't stay on local radio for long, as Darren Fletcher (formerly Century FM, now Five Live) has proved.

I've heard other local commentators and many of them are plain cack. Stringer is a decent commentator, a City fan and has clearly got passion for the club like we all have. And he calls it as he sees it and tries to be unbiased. Sometimes when the game is flat and there's literally nothing going on [injury, time-wasting etc] he needs to fill the time in with something, and if he wants to have a little giggle with Sinclair, then so be it. Stringer does a reasonable job commentating. So lay off him.
