MrSpaM Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 I can remember watching Hesky at filbert street when i was really young, And really rated him, i was gutted when we sold him, and the players we got with the money were the start of our terrible slip down the leagues. As much as i love the guy, He reminds me way too much of Howard and Yann, we already have players that would do the same job, and we dont start them. I can't see Hesky coming here to sit on the bench, and if he started we'd be back to playing hoof ball again. Waghorns a better prospect than Emile now, wait did i just say that? oh how times have changed.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 I'd love to see him come back and play in a Leicester shirt again. The guy's a legend in my eyes. I reckon he'd come aswell, If he wasn't wanted at Villa and NP wanted him.
Tony Pine Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 he had an awesome game at cf and cb for wigan on the final game of the season a few years back. when they asked bent what strikers he would take to South Africa, emile was his second choice. he said he didn't think people realise just how much he does for the team. strange this article came up as i was just thinking about emile coming back after watching the match on sunday.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 It's fairly safe to say he's probably better than any player we currently possess, but my problem is that he's peaked and only going to get worse and we don't want it to be like Dickov. That would be sad.
lildave3 Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Fairly sure it would never happen, but i'd pass out with excitement if he did. My favourite ever Leicester player.
Bluefoxtim Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Emile is actully a really nice guy. I know him from our days at school together. He has always been a shy introvert ever since he was a kid and thats his main problem. He lacks that arrogence which many top strikers have had over the years. Even when he was a kid if you went in hard on him he would fall down like a sack of potatoes and then struggle and lose interest. One interesting fact about him which a lot of people dont know he played centre midfield for us in our school team. When LCFC signed him and he turned pro they changed him to a striker. The words natural striker are often branded about in football, Emile is not. He never played that position until he was about 16 or 17. This is also why the media often label him as support striker and critique him for not scoring enough goals he simply had to learn the role. For all his bad points I would love to see him in a City shirt again...even though he is a Liverpool fan. He was a centre half originally wasn't he?
Lancsfox Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Emile what a LCFC legend, him and collymore v sunderland 4 goals and 4 assists between them, then we sold him, they would have been so good together, sounds like a song.
Ozwin Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 He'll always be loved most here at Leicester, I'd have him in a flash.
Joe. Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 He'll always be loved most here at Leicester, I'd have him in a flash. Exactly. As if we're in a position to reject a Premier League striker involved in the England setup.
MPH Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Fairly sure it would never happen, but i'd pass out with excitement if he did.My favourite ever Leicester player. Oh this article is just completly unfair... i would so want him back here..... to torture me like this is... ahhhh!
Tommeh Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 at people saying he's not good enough. I can see where people are coming from when they don't want him back incase he flops eg. Dickov but... I'd absolutely love it if he returned, the guy's a complete icon. Preparing a presentation on him now for next week infact.
Monk Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Let's see if we can coax Steve Claridge out of retirement to join him shall we?
fatmando Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 I'd love to see him back here and he would almost certainly do a job for us in the prem if we got promoted! (When he's stopped freaking out about getting in the England squad). He's gotta do a Chris Powell style role here before he retires whether he starts when (if) we go up or in a few more years and he drops a division. Legend in my eyes! Come home soon Emile!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 I'd love to see Heskey back with us. He is a true Leicester fan and would definitely give 100%.
Bert Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 His cock alone would murder this league. Would love him back here.
Simi Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Let's see if we can coax Steve Claridge out of retirement to join him shall we? Is he going to be in the World Cup squad as well?
coale39 Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 right........one of our best players in living memory, saved our club when we nearly went out of existance, still in the England squad (arguably might start) and you lot all think hes not good enough for a championship club who was in league one last season and hasnt been in the prem for 6 seasons. Even if you dont think he is good enough, at least show the courtesy and respect that this man deserves!!!!!!what a loada boll*cks heskey is a leicester hero and it would be my honour if he played for us in his last season as a pro My thoughts exactly, some people...
Mikey Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Emile would walk into most lower Prem teams, let alone us. Would love him back here.
Jimmy Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 so people don't think Fryatt, Waghorn, Gallagher or any other striker we have would benefit from Emile being in the team? bollocks, played as the lead striker in our current system he'd be great so long as the wide men and at least central midfielder joined him, assuming we get promoted (as unless we do its a total non-starter) he'd be a great player to sign, I also think he'd be Pearson's type of player too
Jimothy Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Would love to see Emile back here. Come home Emile!!! EDIT: That better?
davieG Posted 2 March 2010 Author Posted 2 March 2010 Well if people want him back I suggest the first thing they do is to stop calling him Bruno as I'm sure it was reported that he doesn't like it.
ousefox Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 I don't see how anybody would not want a current England international in the squad. I would bite Villa's hand off if they were willing to sell him.
Tony Pine Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 in case you hadn't noticed. some people on this site have brains that work in very curious ways.
