Babylon Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Really? But you felt sorry for us, so didn't bother? Or could you not be bothered? I suppose it's the same as Lloyd and Oakley missing those two chances in the last few minutes. If they were bothered they could have scored easily.
C-man Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 I don't think so you muppet, we were shit in the first half, but in the second half it was all us, we could have taken the 3 points quite easily and we have the 2nd best form in the league since January, all I can say is see you next season, there is no way you bunch of muppets will get promoted, actually it would be funny if you did, you would finish bottom of the league with the lowest points total ever recorded, and now that would be funny. Fuck me, he can spell.

I recall 3 shots on target by you lot, of which two went in and one was cleared off the line. I'd say that's a very decent return for the few chances you carved up. But having had a half each a draw was a fair result.
Matt Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 We could have held onto the 2-0 lead and took the 3 points easily.
lcfcadam Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Only positive today was the short roar as the ball broke to King just before he stuck it in. Watch the MOTD Live coverage again and you'll see what I mean - a pretty orgasmic little noise... The second half was the worst thing I've seen as a City fan in a long, long time.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Was an armchair disabled today so poor form from me, but I must say that the first 20 odd minutes was probably the best I've seen us play on TV. Lovely stuff. Anyway in summation: - It was a game of two halves - You can't win 'em all - Additional generic football cliche - The bitter Coventry fan should probably go away and start hating Racing Warwick or someone who actually cares (I thought Coventry fans sounded pretty good today from the TV actually) - peterborofox, you've had a 'mare son as per usual when we drop points, sort yourself out - Derby away next week, bring it on!
Unit Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Excellent in 1st half, 2nd half we just sat back and stopped playing completely thinking we had already won. To allow a piss poor Coventry side back into it was very poor really. They were really, really shit. I don't think so you muppet, we were shit in the first half, but in the second half it was all us, we could have taken the 3 points quite easily and we have the 2nd best form in the league since January, all I can say is see you next season, there is no way you bunch of muppets will get promoted, actually it would be funny if you did, you would finish bottom of the league with the lowest points total ever recorded, and now that would be funny. Fact: You wrote that 1/3 faster than any Leicester fan could purely due to the three hand syndrome. Twat.

Worse than Forest away?
Fox92 Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Didn't take our chances again and were this time made to pay. Controlled the first half and should have had 3 or 4 which may well have changed the overall context of the game. Coventry came back in it though and we sat to deep at times. Also, couldn't clear our lines. No moaning about the Coventry goals. Overall, a good local derby. Nottingham Forest and Derby have their local rivalry which takes it away from our game abit and with Coventry being the more local rivals I thought the atmosphere was great. Coventry fans were great, always love their 'stand together' song. Dissapointing to throw a 2 goal lead away but thats what happens in local derbies. Nice game. Sets up a (hopefully) good game against Reading on Wednesday, which will be hard though.

Sears and Morrison were offside - sears went to the ball meaning a free-kick should have been given for offside all in all we screwed up the second half but you did get the help of some very perculiar refereeing.

You know how to spell, This is an exception for coventry fans. How come you hate us anyway. If we did end up on the lowest point total ever, it's more than you'll get next season in the premier. Can't remember the last time Coventry were in with a shout at promotion. Scumbag. By the way, you showed your self up earlier, picking on some innocent guy who was walking past the coaches. Scum.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Nottingham Forest and Derby have their local rivalry which takes it away from our game abit It doesn't really for most of us though does it?
Guest Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 I suppose it's the same as Lloyd and Oakley missing those two chances in the last few minutes. If they were bothered they could have scored easily. Ifs, buts and maybes. Don't alter what happened.
Corky Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 We were terrific in the first half, proper pacy football which stretched their back-line. Could've had more than the 2-0 lead we did manage, but in the second half, we seemed to sit back and allow them to dictate possession. After the first goal, you could sense an equaliser. Some excellent defending prevented it earlier, but it was coming and annoyingly, it did. My feeling is annoyance more than anything. It was always going to be a difficult match, but to have the lead and lose it is disappointing. However, we haven't really lost out this weekend, still eight points ahead of seventh and still fourth. We could be doing a hell of a lot worse.
CosbehFox Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Favourite moment of the day: Cov fans run out of the Walkers like they won the FA Cup again.....the PA announces Cardiff are 1-0 up against Watford. So that's us back into 4th, Cov further away from 6th and another game played. How I giggled like a little girl. Cov, enjoy your season amongst the mid-table.....I assume that will be another season not in the top six of a division, another celebrating being very average and not getting relegated. This match the ball must have spent 55% of the time in the air. We were dragged down to their level sadly. Every dog must have it's day and all that.

No, Don't forget there always around the top of the table during the first few weeks of the season, then they drop and enter into a little relegation battle then survive relegation with a little spurt toward mid-table and ultimatly fail. They've done it for years, Every seasons the same for them really.
Corky Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 EASY EASY EASY. Or not. <_< Was surprised to see so many in L1 giving it the gay arm gesture. To be fair to the Cov lot, they all stood and got behind their team. 'Cup final' or no 'cup final' they outsung us and their celebrations looked epic. I agree. I've nothing against being positive but chanting "You're shit etc" and "2-0 on your big day out" with an hour to go was ridiculous. At least wait until the match is all but over, or when it has finished.
Bert Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 That Lee Mason is a Cunt of the highest order. Where he didn't make us drop 2 points, he played a massive part in it, along with his officials. After a dubious second goal and things going our way for the whole way through the first half, I think everyone knew he was going to try and "even it out". I couldn't believe some of the decisions he was giving against either team . We were good in the first half, and shit in the secoind. No-one deserved to win the game, I don't think. Howard's such a dick. Moan, moan, moan. Get on with the game.

Tbf, fair play to Coleman, they have gone to the next level of being average.
Houchens Forehead Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Well I think today was a fair result. You lot started as well as anyone I have seen this season. Organised, fluid and knocking it about nicely. To be fair I thought we were in for a hiding. Your second goal, over or not, who knows. I've always said if you let the ball get that close you don't deserve any luck! Second half I think the Foxes had let complacency slip in, and not surprsingly given that in the first half a crack team of Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and David Blunkett could have denied our attacking intentions. We may be nowhere near play off contenders but can play it ugly and make a nuisance of ourselves. I think we deserved a point offside goal or otherwise. I'm not into whole "hate Leicester" thing always hated the Brummies more. Therefore I hope you achieve your consecutive promotions, playing like you did in the first half you should be fine.

It's not our fault hardly anyone else in the ground wants to do it. Yes there's the little sections of about 20 in the Kop, but they won't move over to the majority of the standers will they. Our celebrations would've looked epic if we'd just snatched a point from being 2-0 down.

I don't care who you're playing, coming from 2-0 down to get a point is worth going bananas at.
Corky Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 Ref was poor today, for both sides. Booking Gallagher for kicking the ball away (I'm not sure he knew the whistle had been blown) yet not cautioning "Coventry's Delap" for going in with an elbow on McGivern?
