Yes watching Pearsons interview did give me a bit of faith back.

What did Pearson say? i turned it off at full time

I'm not sure why there is all this panic. We've had a tough run of games, culminating in the last 3 games, all away, against tough sides. Now the tough fixture run is over, we can get back to some form and cement the play off place.

West Brom are a better side than us, they beat us and are going to get promoted. Fair play to them.

I don't know why a few people have picked on Neilson. I didn't think he did that badly and occasionally got up the wing to support the attack. We lost the game in midfield today, but as we were up against the best midfield in the league, that's no disgrace.

Hands up who got escorted outside because he had the audacity to suggest to a steward that some sets of fans swap seats as the ones behind seemed to be agitated, as he was on his way to the toilet...

Yeah, free speach is bad mmmmkay?

Im saying if there was ever a time for everyone to pull together its now and what the hell are we hoping to achieve by bashing the team now?

They were up against a quality side littered wiht premiership quality players away from home

anything from the game was a bonus, and that game will not decide our fate this season

All im saying is its right now we need to be in it together, to back the team right the way to the end of the season, turn the Walkers into an absolute cauldron and roar the boys on

I feel people are being needlessly harsh on tonights performance

and that guy who wants pearson out in another thread, well, 'fans' like that need to be disowned and kept away from our club

COME ON LEICESTER

Fair enough, Mattock has been second fiddle to Cech most of the season and when he has played he is very slow. When I heard we were in for him I was excited because I had heard he was and England prospect but to be honest pacey wingers rip him appart. Saying that though he is very young and can get a lot better.

Do you think he is a decent player? I remeber 2 seasons back when he whipped that ball in and Howard scored a header, back when you beat us 4-1 and Lee Hendrie was a t**t!

I'll be honest, I could never see what others did in him. He always seemed to be suspect defensively against pace and Chris Powell at 39 was a better leftback for us last year in league one than him. I really wasn't sad to see him go for a decent fee.

Having said that, Stuart Pearce picks him for the U21's and made him the second youngest player for England at that level so he's probably a better judge than me.

Lets not forget that its Hollowhead in charge at Blackpool, yes he's done well but he'll fook it up when it matters most.

I hope Newcastle haven't already won the league when Blackpool play them :fc: If Newcastle still need points to win the title they will win that game 9 times out of 10. (no disrespect to Blackpool but overall the Geordies are a step above us all this season)

Am i the only one whose still feeling positive at the end of this evening?O.K We lost.....but i was expecting us to,what with their parachute payment players.I hoped at the begining of the season we could get lower mid table and we've far surpassed that, true we're in the play off places and i hope we stay there, but ****** coming on here or RL slaging NP or the side need to get a reallity check........where were you in L1?

We lost to a team who outplayed us. At the end of the day we are still 6th, and coming up from league one, i don't really consider that bad.

Lets look on the bright side, some winnable games coming up, just need to stick together and get these all important points.

Well that was one of the most depressing matches I've seen for a while.

It's not that we lost, I expected that. The scoreline suggests a complete hammering, which in reality, it wasn't. I'm not suggesting we deserved anything from the match because we played fairly poorly for most of the 90 minutes, but it was never a 3-0 game.

All in all, we were outclassed and beaten by a very good side. The first goal was absolute quality from Morrison, the second slack defending followed by a tidy finish and the third, well I don't quite know what happened. Defence splitting pass from Morrison (?) and then a calm and collected finish from Koren.

Hugely disappointing day given the Blackpool result, but there's not much we can do now. It's a hard slog from here, have we got the minerals to do it?

I don't care. All I wanted was to see us away again. It didn't happen. It's not the end of the world.

Yes, it's a terrible slump we're in right now, but I'm still clinging on to the hope that we somehow scrape the playoffs with the remaining five games to go.

QPR is winnable, if not a must-win (if only to shut Warnock up).

I'm not going to go any deeper, but from what I've seen at the Hawthorns, we played quite well, although once more without any real pressure going forward.

Again, no real central midfielders to be seen. Passing back and forth between central and outer defenders does make for a nice ball possession percentage, but it doesn't win you games.

The central midfield doesn't put any pressure on the opposition, and when they do, it's already too late.

Again, Wellens seemed the most capable (or at least the most caring) midfielder today - him and Lloyd Dyer, who at times tore the WBA defense to shreds (albeit only occasionally).

Oakley was nowhere to be seen (again) and if it hadn't been for that feeble shot on goal, once could've thought Andy King had been left back in Leicester, too.

The yellow card against Waghorn a complete joke. The free-kick led to West Brom's second and it was all dead clear from there on: we'd not get anything at all from this place. Once you're down 2-0 to West Brom, there's no chance you can get back into the game. Especially not when you're Leicester City with the worst form in about four years.

Howard did show some efforts, but as the game progressed, him and his forward partners all became pretty frustrated (Vaughan shouting at Wellens, Howard pulling faces, etc.). Simply because neither the wingers nor the central midfielders could be arsed to set up any reasonable attack. That's why were short in scoring, that's why we have the fewest amount of goalscorers in the entire league. Like chickens, they were afraid to attack. Yes, afraid. Where's the confidence gone??? I think the thought of making the playoffs in easy fashion with a ten-point cushion some few weeks ago has made them jaded. All desire's gone - or let's say, it has shown up in increments in the past few away games and against Reading, but usually only in the second half and when everything was already lost.

You don't win games with that attitude.

And Nigel Pearson: Why play a bloody 4-5-1 away from home, including hoofball tactics because we have Steve Howard on? That's almost as bad as Martin O'Neill's Anti-Football at Villa.

Why using Waghorn as a right winger??? I know we're short on players, but is it that bad?? And Vaughan replacing Dyer on the left flank??? WTF??

Dear Nigel, tell me you're simply "experimenting" with the squad and all just something not to be taken too seriously.

Neilson should be sold or let out of his contract, because once more, he showed he can neither pass, cross nor tackle and it usually about two steps away from his opposing player.

As for West Brom, very composed side that to me, but surprisingly, never really played like the Number Two team in this league. All they did was they took their chances well and that's why they're so high up the league. The first goal came out of nowhere, the game was all equal up to that point, BUT... Morrison simply did what we've been lacking so far. He gambled, took a chance, shot... and scored.

The third - all down to poor defending. The pairing Hobbs/Morrison got found out for once. It can happen. Not blaming them for us playing so badly recently.

Tamas is a tw*t for behaving like a clown, falling down, acting theatrically as if he was hit. And that posh-looking, handbag-swinging female WBA supporter that got sent off...:crylaugh:

I didn't think we were that bad, West Brom just had that extra quality in the final third. Howard had 2 big chances at start of 2nd half, one of them goes in who knows. Didn't understand Waghorn going off unless he was injured, lost any pace upfront. 2nd goal was killer, just before half time and too many players went for the first ball I think although not seen the replay. Dyer was threat, but maybe could have hit the target with his first half attempts.

QPR on Monday = Massive.

We didn't deserve to be 2-0 down at HT, we passed it around nicely at times, just lacked that bit of quality in their final third, which they have in abundance.

2nd half Howard had a couple of chances, IF he had took the first one who knows.

Oakley, Wellens were disappointing. Neilson did alright, we all know he's awful on the ball but defended ok, some of the fans criticising him when he finds the space and other players play poor passes to him is harsh. He's basically called a shit bastard every single little mistake he makes.

Hobbs will be in the PL very soon, most probably with another club.

Berner was class as usual.

Vaughan tried his best.

Pearson tried his best.

Their fans are fooking shit.

Roll on Monday, i would say it's a very important game.

Just got back (from the pub!!!).

I bloody love Leicester City Football Club.

Anybody can support Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc but where's the fun in that?

In 42 years of support, it's always has been and always will be a rollercoaster. That's what you get for being a fan of Leicester City. Accept it or find another club.

In my opinion, we played well today. The weak links for me were Neilson and Oakley but what's the point of getting on their backs now/anymore?

My expectation for this season was mid-table and yet we're five games from the end of the season, in a play-off place AND staying there is in our own hands.

That's fantastic after the disastrous last few years surely. Don't get me wrong, I'll be massively disappointed if we fail to make the top six after being up there for so long but we've come so far in the last two seasons that'll I'll be a very proud fan.

What the players need is support, real support. None of the boo-boys sh*t. That isn't going to help anyone. I've been critical of Ryan McGivern in Live Chat but that's not what the lad needs. They all need cheering for 90+ minutes a game for the last five games.

Raise the Walkers' roof on Monday!

I don't buy this "We were in League 1 last year" or "I would have taken midtable at the start of the season" arguement. Our hopes should change as the season progresses, we've proven we are good enough and we are allowed to be annoyed when the only reason we're not living up to our potential is carelessness. We are good enough to be in the play offs and it's annoying that the players are throwing it away.

However it is true that we couldn't have expected to win today, bring on Monday, we are still in the driving seat! I'm not gonna let Ian fooking Holloway screw us over again :scarf:

Why the hell is everyone being so negative. I'm guessing many of you didn't go to the game judging by your comments. (The first page in particular)

Before the first goal, we were holding our own, and were beaten by a wonder strike. The second yes they could have been prevented, but it was a spirited performance and we were beaten by the better side. I was shocked by some of the fans behaviour when Oakley got subbed and at the final whistle. To shout "willy puller" and to do the gesture to your captain is disgusting. He's lead the team and he's a role model, no matter how badly he plays, you should NEVER disrespect your captain in this way. At the final whistle, some bloke near us was telling the team to fook off. This guy should never have bother coming and made a complete tit of himself.

I for one am proud to watch my team week in week out, and not. Many people need to take a good look at themselves and think, "should I bother coming to any other games?" If your behaving like that then the answer is no.

It's still in our hands, We are one point in the playoffs, WE ARE STILL IN THE PLAYOFFS. It's not all over just yet. Keep the Faith.

That woman made me laugh, someone said to me she was Tamas's missus, who kicked off when he had a barmy with Wellens or Howard. The Mattock chants were excellent, infact our support today was pretty decent.

Posted

Just never had any real quality from start to finish.

The defence always looked vulnerable, but again like the Derby defeat we had no luck at all.

Thought we looked ok with Howard playing but he arguably should have scored early on in the 2nd half.

The best chant was 'Mattock, sort her out' about that woman in the WBA end acting up. That was the only real highlight!

Posted

Well I thought that Leicester were really poor and and let WBA walk all over them. WBA are good, but today was about Leicester being poor and not WBA outclassing us, IMO.

We were better prior to the first goal, however, not actually 'scaring' WBA just having equal amount of possession.

I do think though, that our strongest back for is, Morrison Hobbs Brown and Berner. We should revert back to basics for QPR and stick to the same defence that propelled us into the playoffs.
