VampLCFC Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 For a striker, he looks least likely to score on the pitch, very poor today against Cov, took too many touches, passed when he should've had a shot, shot when he had a better option!
Webbo Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Do we actually know for sure that he has put in a transfer request?
Corky Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Fryatt is a confidence player. Pearson was the only manager to get the best out of him, and now he's gone it's no surprise that Fryatt is not what he was in the last two seasons. I'm sure if the manager believes in him he'll come good, but I don't know if he does. We'll see in the next few weeks.

I'm getting bit tired of Manager's having to pamper to Fryatt to try get the best out of him. He is a professional, he shouldn't always have to be told how great he is to perform consistently week in week out. I do think he still has potential to do well for us this season and Sousa should have word, if he hasn't already, and see if that makes a difference! If not, then my patience is wearing bit thin!! I would start him next two games, if no obvious signs, then try Gallagher out or another loanee
Salieri Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Do we actually know for sure that he has put in a transfer request? According to the unreliable source that is Stringer, he hasn't and is happy to be here.
Bugg Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 I did actually write my initial post without fully thinking it through. I reckon Chopra, Bothroyd, Maynard and Nugent (who you've left out) are better forwards. Danny Graham is a similar level to Fryatt. Earnshaw only scores in 3s. McCormack hasn't had a game for Cardiff for a year. Wickham's impact was pretty minimal last season, it's only because he's 17 that he gets lots of attention. Becchio is absolutely laughable, you must have been on the wind up with that one. Ultimately the point is that he is our best striker and we won't be getting anyone better in. Maybe because he now plays for Leeds
fleckneymike Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 Maybe because he now plays for Leeds He only moved to Leeds this transfer window though.
Bugg Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 He only moved to Leeds this transfer window though. I read it as this season instead. Silly me
Guest ttfn Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 I read it as this season instead. Silly me In fairness I didn't realise that, although it only serves to emphasise my point
Tilley Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 im so sick of this know . can we now STOP THESE RUMOURS because im so pissed off with the whole lot now lets get behind the team and stop these rumours  Jesus Christ. Nicky Maynard Connor Wickham Luciano Becchio Jay Bothroyd Michael Chopra Ross McCormack Rob Earnshaw Danny Graham all better then Fryatt Awful list.
bigneville Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 I'm a Fryatt fan but he was poor today should have come off much earlier at H/T atleast maybe before, if he doesn't want to be here and on todays viewing you have to question, he can go. I agree. I like Fryatt and I believe he brings goals. But. Yesterday he didn't seem interested, either that or he isn't match sharp yet. If he is still re-producing the same form in a month's time, then he may be best to be cashed in on.
Swalker Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Have been a big Fryatt fan but afraid his time has come. Needs too many touches and maybe starting to lack interest. If Derby want him then we should let him go - he would be a great asset for them next season as he is a proven LEAGUE ONE striker.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Some might say the opposite to this. But yesterday, he didn't get much service at all. Nearly Every ball pinged in Fryatt's direction was over-hit, I remember one of them being from Wellens and you could see how frustrated Fryatt is. Fryatt needs to be played with Howard, he feeds off the flick ons, and that's where he gets the goals. Howard pulls an extra defender out, leaving Fryatt with more space.
Wymsey Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Both ways whether to loan Fryatt out would be not good for the team. If we loaned him out to the sheep shaggers we would be used more (probably) in his preferred decision rather than in Sousa's style which he didn't enjoy. (ie from what i heard about him yesterday - i didn't go) Who's this Crcnic guy? Is he like Moussa - 'one for the future'? If he is and doesn't play even if Matty did go i presume Waghorn woulld be the only one up front as i don't think Sousa rates Howard highly. On the otherhand keeping him here under Sousa would dampen his desire to play for the club with the poor quality he is performing at the moment and this would not only upset him, it would upset the rest of the team and this can be very bad in terms of morale and chances of performing well 'together'. Lets hope this example of team worry doesn't affect the way the players are thinking as they would probably know now Fryatt is struggling and has lost his enthuasism to play for the team again.

shiv Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 well if McCormack is better and hasn't played for a year then surely it would be a good idea to loan him for a season Gone to Leeds scum I think
FrankieADZ Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Gone to Leeds scum I think yep, he's joined Leeds on a Perma deal.
Guest Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 well i hope he does better than at coventry, hes tottally lack in all the good things hes done in the past since his jaw injury
The Doctor Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 well i hope he does better than at coventry, hes tottally lack in all the good things hes done in the past since his jaw injury which, if i were a betting man, i would say is entirely due to the fear of being in possession too long and getting clobbered like that again. The solution : stop playing him for a couple of weeks and get in a shrink to help him conquer that fear.

Alternatively replace both Fryatt and Howard. But not with DNG
