Pearson will do anything to make his bumboy happy.

Exactly why I asked, it's a wierd number for a striker to want : scratch that any player! Anyone know why the obsession?

He'll score a few goals there this season

Henry wears it for France whenever he plays, maybe he's a big fan.

Skysports.com understands Newcastle are preparing a January move for Leeds winger Max Gradel.

The 23-year-old has been in sparkling form for the Whites this season, bringing him to the attention of Premier League sides.

He only completed a permanent switch to Elland Road 12 months ago, having shone during a loan switch from Leicester

Gradel penned a two-and-a-half-year contract upon his arrival, which is set to run until the summer of 2012.

Spotlight

His fine form has thrust him into the spotlight, though, and the top flight vultures are beginning to circle.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson maintains that Gradel is not for sale, but the Whites have yet to see their resistance tested.

Newcastle could be the first to test the water, with Alan Pardew believed to be keen on a New Year approach.

Gradel has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League at some stage, but has given no indication that he is looking to make such a step up this season.

Big game tonight - Cardiff vs Leeds.

Cardiff are in very poor form and Leeds sometimes struggle to hold a good lead (as we know ;) ).

Should be a lot of goals!

Burnley make official approach for Paul Lambert.

Hmm how insulting to Norwich

What's insulting about it? It's a request for permission and Norwich have turned them down. It's not like they're holding secret talks behind the back of the Norwich board.

Or at least they might be - but we don't know that.

Well they're assuming that Burnley is a more attractive proposition than Norwich, they maybe currently in a better financial position but I wouldn't say their prospects are. But I guess it's down to perception I'd feel insulted if I was a Norwich fan that he'd even considered a move to Burnley.

Lambert - Unconfirmed reports that he has left from a few people i know.

I know Burnley had asked Norwich if they could open talks with him and Norwich declined.

Apparently an emergency meeting was held today with Lambert and the Board and he left in a hurry soon after.

Just been on the local news and they just said that he will be in charge tomorrow but didn't seem to sure about it.

Would be ridiculous if he did leave.

They couldn't expect to get many more years out of him to be fair, and he'll probably make a bit in the MLS as well.

He wouldn't even have to live in the US either.
