Koke Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I feel sorry for the bloke too, but then again I was never part of the 'Sousa out' masses anyway. Agree. I wasn't part of the Sousa out brigade either, and I do feel a wee bit sorry for the bloke. Though I knew after the Portsmouth disaster that he would be asked to clear his desk before the end of the week - or after Scunny at best. I have no problems with Sousa. It didn't work with him here, but I wish him well wherever he decides to go.
Chrysalis Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 getting rid of pearson was silly alright, but sousa had to go.
Corky Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Well I'm surprised that it's been announced today, though I can't say I'm disappointed in all honesty, I didn't think it would get too much better under Sousa. I don't dislike the bloke too much, he may make a good manager, but I couldn't see it being here. Let's go and get Tony Mowbray and start the climb up the table tomorrow.
Wycombe Fox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 The number of working hours lost as a result of the rollercoaster that is Leicester City Football Club increases yet again. Here we go again until another manager is unveiled at another LCFC Press Conference.
acooling08 Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Not happy. If we get Sven I'll be very unhappy.
Ozwin Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Bit strange the timing but then they probably had the Thailand trip in mind.
Nick Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Not happy. If we get Sven I'll be very unhappy. Ah well, I'm sure you've been unhappy before, maybe you'll get over it or maybe the misery will lead to you ending your life. I'm ecstatic. Everything is brilliant. Soussa's formations were a joke. My only fear is that MON or SGE don't get the job and we end up with Thracian.
Ozwin Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Are we seriously linked with a possible MON or Sven appointment? They'd be massive for us.
phillthefox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Sorry but sousa had to go and performances showed he didnt have backing of anybody, Sven will be likely although MoN would be amazing , the future is bright the future is Blue
Aussie4LCFC Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Iain Dowie-he is as funny as our results this year...
Ric Flair Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Bit strange the timing but then they probably had the Thailand trip in mind. It's blatant that Sven or O'Neill have made themselves available and that's why we've pulled the trigger on Sousa. It's a no brainer.
Ozwin Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I can't beleive that MON would put his name into the hat. He still loves us guys!
Babylon Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I can't beleive that MON would put his name into the hat. He still loves us guys! Chances are he didn't... if he had I can't believe it would be Sven on the way to city.
Fox92 Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Very strange timing, unless a replacement is coming in very quick. I do feel for Sousa, I am a fan of his and I wanted him to turn it around to shut the 'Sousa out' masses up. I believe he will make a good manager in time and I wish him all the luck in the future. I'd take Martin O'Neill though...
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Sousa said: "To be sacked after being told that there was a long-term strategy at the club is something that I find very surprising." Yes Paulo. You were told there was a long-term strategy at the club, before the season started. Milan had your pants down on this. (Ultra) Me and my mates at college were delighted when we heard.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I've just seen Ulrika in Morrisons. Odds on we get Ikea in Thrummy now. Might as well all move to Stockholm. Actually, come to think of that's not a bad idea.

nickelbyfox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Weird how I liked Sousa but wasn't against him going, but this timing seems immensely strange! Imagine what the players must be thinking who have to play tomorrow?
Guy Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I feel the same. He tried to adopt a system that matched his beliefs, unfortunately it was never going to suit our squad or possibly even this division. That was naivety on his part. It only worked at Swansea because it wasn't a millions miles away from Martinez' set-up. Very true. I think Swansea fans have come on to here and said as much too......while having an opportunity to have a minor dig at Sousa too, justifiably so as it turned out......!
Guy Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Weird how I liked Sousa but wasn't against him going, but this timing seems immensely strange! Imagine what the players must be thinking who have to play tomorrow? It will be strange for them but they're pros and although it's not your bog standard job (such as if you have a new manager parading round your average factory pending a switch in management), one hopes they will all be eager to impress whoever comes in. Mike Stowell will hopefully pick a Pearson-esque formation that we've been starved of (since last season) with virtually the same squad at his disposal and we will win 5-1 again against the same opposition!?! I wonder if Gallagher will repeat his cheeky chipped header from last season against Scunny?! I bet he couldn't again if he tried.......!
J.Lisemore Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I feel a little sorry for Vitor and Moreno, they must be thinking...what have I done?
unreachable Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 I feel a little sorry for Vitor and Moreno, they must be thinking...what have I done? I wouldn't be surprised if Vitor's loan is cancelled by mutual consent. Sousa had a good connection with Benfica so they may want their boy back home.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 My info is that Sousa heard about his sacking from SSN! Good work Mr Hoos. Non of his backroom staff have as yet been told what's happening to them. I also understand that Hoos will be sacked very soon, although he is currently talking to a managerial candidate in London this afternoon! Hoos is a complete cock - official. Finally, MM is off to Pompey in January - deal done.
