Jimmy Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 Some people were saying at the game yesterday he,s gone back to villa. Can anyone confirm this? he'll of gone back for treatment, that's what always happens
Adster Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 curtis davies was at the game yesterday, as i sit right above the academy players, and he was sat there with them. he is still with leicester.
CosbehFox Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 Villa can't recall him on a short term loan deal. However, it's feasible he's been referred to them for treatment.
Simmo86 Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 Stringer said he had a hamstring injury but will be training on Tuesday as will Dyer
dogadug Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 My link Wants to stay Until January when a prem club will offer good wages and get him
crazylegs1984 Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Yeah that will do nicely would be nice to have him till january
MPH Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 My link Wants to stay "Sven had the confidence to sign me and that is all I needed, now I just want to get on with my game," Davies said. "It's just a joy to be playing football again after being out in the cold for a year. "Hopefully I can stay at Leicester until the new year and see what happens in January. "My loan ends in two weeks and hopefully I can extend it until January and then I can reassess things." oooh Sven, you've done it again.
Simmo86 Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Until January when a prem club will offer good wages and get him Maybe svennis can work some magic :sweden:
MPH Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Bet he's on something like 35-40k a week. And if we can get him on a long term deall it would be worth every penny... because we would then have a defender who could potentially be knocking on the England door again... Who we sign in january could help the Likes of Davies and Naughton decide where their future lies....
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Would be great if we could sign him permanately. Him and Hobbs could be a real partnership for the future.
hackneyfox Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 If we keep him then it could be curtains for Hobbs. Vitor is looking very good at the moment and shouldn't be dropped. If Tunchev returns to form it would put Hobbs 4th in the pecking order. And Morrison appears to have no future at the club at all.
Kent Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 My link Wants to stay Not sure why it says he's 23 when every other information on the internet puts him at 25.
Andy1874 Posted 3 November 2010 Posted 3 November 2010 Just a bit of background on his situation for you. If he plays one more league game for Villa he automatically gets a new contract worth approximately £10,000 extra per week. He played injured at the start of last season and then disappeared for surgery on his shoulder, he then kicked up a fuss because he felt the club should reward him with his new contract because he'd played injured to get us through a sticky spell and subsequently fell out with MON who froze him out when he returned to fitness. Obviously various things happened and MON's toys went out of the pram, Houllier came in with a fully it Davies and 4 other centre halves (Dunne, Collins, Cuellar and Clark). It seems that the loan to Leicester is an opportunity for Davies to play regularly at a lower level and allow the new Villa staff to assess whether he is worthy of this new contract, I would be suprised to see him sign for Leicester permanently unless they are promoted.

Amazing, I hope that's all true. They're not gonna want to give him a new contract when they have 4 defenders ahead of him. He'd be the best defender in the league if we signed him.

He'd be the best defender in the league if we signed him. they've used Cuellar at right back a lot and Clark is a kid so they'd likely want to keep him around
Andy1874 Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 Cuellar won't play at right back now, MON had also fallen out with Luke Young and didn't fancy Habib Beye (even though he is the one who put him on £40,000!) so he used Cuellar. Houllier seemingly hasn't fallen out with anybody as yet.
MattyFromLE Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 It was on east midlands today that Davies wants to extend his loan period here
