Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 He is injured.... http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/2010/11/09/ishmael-miller-ready-to-leave-albion/ As has been pointed out at least once before in this thread, but that won't stop people speculating wildly.
LCFC-Sam Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 Not if he is injured ohh right, maybe not then
ajthefox Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 Waghorn = Vassell Miller = Howard If this goes through strenght and depth is emerging, think Fryatt will want to leave. Fryatt and Hobbs tarnished there rep for me under Sousa by wanting to jump ship when things weren't working. Players should get there head down and play whoever is in charge, NO YOUR PLACE FOOTBALLERS Miller and Howard aren't equal at all, they are very different. Similar type of physique vaguely, but Miller has pace, an eye for goal and strength as an added Bonus. Howard's aerial presence would not be rivalled by Miller not to mention Howard is a significantly bigger guy too. They play totally different roles though. Miller is there to get you goals, Howard is there to win the ball and hold up play. I think they'd work pretty well together really, but two Howards definitely wouldn't. And as for Fryatt and Hobbs, I don't think it's your place to say that, I'm pretty sure no-on confirmed exactly who wanted to leave so you are speculating at best.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 I doubt it - but there seem to be conflicting messages. Is he or is he not injured? If he is then it's a risky move.
MrSpaM Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 I don't get all these people saying get rid of Howard. He's made a pretty positive impact every time i've seen him play this season, and last season, and played a big part in getting us promoted the year before. I think he deserves to stay. I think getting rid of him would do more damage to our dressing room then keeping him on.
conradno1 Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 Millwall want him as well - Talksport im sure he would rather come here as we have a better well everything and its only down the road

It's not his fault Waggy or Fryatt or whoever don't get close enough to him to take full advantage of his flick ons.
hackneyfox Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 Perhaps they don't know which way the flicks are going to go. A la Scowcroft
bald reynard Posted 12 November 2010 Posted 12 November 2010 According to Di Matteo on the Albion OS, Miller's injury is not as bad as first feared - and he should be back in training next week, with a return to League action (with them or 'somebody else' !?) the following Saturday (20/11). It was an, "abdominal strain", he went for a scan to check it wasn't a tear (as with the original injury, which he was off a few months for) and that showed a strain, not requiring surgery, just physio. SO, he might be with us next week ?!

I was talking to a colleague on the Birmingham Evening Mail this afternoon and the word from the Hawthorns, is that now Miller's injury has cleared up, he will be joining City next week - on loan to January.

The same journalist, said that he also heard (not from the Hawthorns!), that Fryatt would be moving on loan to Hull in the next couple of days.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 November 2010 Posted 12 November 2010 Howard is our top scoring forward. I keep pointing this out to people - frightening isn't it?
Adster Posted 12 November 2010 Posted 12 November 2010 I keep pointing this out to people - frightening isn't it? And he's only scored from penatlies
dogadug Posted 12 November 2010 Posted 12 November 2010 And he's only scored from penatlies No he hasn't. He scored in open play in the game we all wish never happened
Stevosevic Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 And he's only scored from penatlies Leeds and Pompey from open play and a 92nd penalty, that takes some bottle. Fair play to the bloke, great squad player.

rico Posted 14 November 2010 Posted 14 November 2010 Sven has said that although he is looking at Miller,he wouldn't rule out a move for Roman Bendnar either

Ric Flair Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 When does the loan window shut for this year? I'm sure we're holding out for Miller but Bednar might be the better option, especially given Miller's injury record.

My googling skills must not be up to scratch because I can't find anything out there about it ? I think I heard somewhere it was the end of this month, but don't quote me on that.

Joe. Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Yes please to Bednar, he'd be a cracking signing.
