Uncle Monty Posted 24 November 2010 Posted 24 November 2010 When Sousa was signing a load of unknowns in the summer, if someone had told me then that our team would end up containing those players and we'd be managed by Sven, I would have laughed in their face and had them committed. You're not the only one mate. Seems like one of those bizzaire dreams.
Tommy G Posted 24 November 2010 Posted 24 November 2010 Why has the loan thing been brought up again??? Are peiople pulling legs or really just that retarded. I'm surprised people have the ability to sign onto this forum, or the brains, or be able to count to 5 without going brain dead. FYL
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 24 November 2010 Posted 24 November 2010 From SSN: Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is set to join Leicester City on loan.Kirkland has made just one appearance for Wigan since August and that came when on-loan keeper Ali Al Habsi was ineligible to face parent club Bolton Wanderers last month. A move to home-town club Leicester has been mooted in recent weeks and the deal is likely to be completed before Thursday's deadline. Illness has held up the switch to the Walkers Stadium and Martinez believes it is important for Kirkland to play first-team football. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_6524565,00.html

Haydos Posted 24 November 2010 Posted 24 November 2010 If he stays fit, absolutely class signing. No doubt about it at this level. Coming together finally (not like that)

Parafox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Come on.... I mean... Chris (lovely guy) Kirkland has the positional sense of Stevie Wonder and the wrists of Graham Norton. Best save I ever saw him make was with his face.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Come on.... I mean... Chris (lovely guy) Kirkland has the positional sense of Stevie Wonder and the wrists of Graham Norton. Best save I ever saw him make was with his face. For some reason I trust Sven a lot more than you.
Lesta Legend Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Come on.... I mean... Chris (lovely guy) Kirkland has the positional sense of Stevie Wonder and the wrists of Graham Norton. got to say that was funny but he is clearly a wum, don't bite.
Philbert Fox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 It is a good signing, I just worry whether he's at the top of his game since his nightmare at the beginning of the season against Blackpool, plus he is the most injury prone Goalkeeper ever.

This. Hopefully he will soon be on top form for us. I've never known a keeper to be so injured, but when he is fit he has looked brilliant.
Philbert Fox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Wasn't he with us when he was a school boy? and we let him go because the manager at the time didn't think he would make it?

bettso Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Done. Nice one Bert. Stringer commented yesterday that there may be 1 other as well as Kirkland. Any truth in the young swede from Man City or is that a no go?
lcfc_jme Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Slick. Bit worried about him in terms of fitness, and also when it comes to confidence I'd say he's certainly prone to be as dodgy as Weale. Hopefully though he'll stay fit whilst here and teach Weale how to position himself in dealing with long-range shots. Hopefully.
Jimmy Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 to be fair Jamie apart from Liverpool he's never had a great defence in front of him so was more likely to make a gaff or 2
