Ricey Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 The support today sounded fantastic on the radio, even my Watford supporting Boss commentated on how fantastic you all were. How many fans did we take?
Craig Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Must have been about 2k. Fair bit of in-fighting today though.. Their support was non-existant.
Guest ttfn Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Must have been about 2k. Fair bit of in-fighting today though.. Their support was non-existant. I actually thought they were quite good (down the other end). It's a long way for that sound to travel in an "open" ground so you wouldn't expect to hear much at all.

harpendenfox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I was roughly half way, and the only time the Watford fans outsung you was when they scored the third. First half in particular when we were 2-0 down a section of you kept singing. Respect. You deserved better from most of the men representing our club.
Craig Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 In fighting?! Two different occasions I saw our own fans fighting amongst themselves, both times they got ejected. Was pretty embarassing. Our support today on the whole was brilliant though. We seem to have finally nailed it. Week in week out fans seem to be praising us for how decent we are.
Shrenchel Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Was better than it usually is there. Wouldn't say fantastic seeing as it was only a few hundred singing 90% of time but spose it's all relative nowadays innit. Odd fellows was good before the game (everyone seemed even more mangled than usual) and some decent chat at half-time.
Bert Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 2300 odd it was. Shamefully people were sat down on the back row today. The atmosphere would've been even better if it was unreserved seating.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Great suppoort, except at the start when there were more people watching fans exchange words rather than the game.
Simmo86 Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Yeah piss poor that. There were some right lemon suckers up the back there. I was 1 row from the back last year and got told to sit down. Wasn't happy!!!
East London Fox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Good crowd today. i was near the corner flag and we got to stand for all of the match. Oddfellows was for a pre match pint!

BoneDog Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 The Andy King song either just before half-time or right at the start of the 2nd half sounded excellent on the radio. I got a rate buzz hearin that!
North-LondonFox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Was better than it usually is there. Wouldn't say fantastic seeing as it was only a few hundred singing 90% of time but spose it's all relative nowadays innit. Odd fellows was good before the game (everyone seemed even more mangled than usual) and some decent chat at half-time. I thought our support was superb today - good few pints in the Odd Fellows and then singin the whole game. I love Sven but why take Kingy off for Oakley? and pleeeease bring Lloyd Dyer on!
Dylan Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Their support was a complete joke. 2-0 up, and you still couldn't hear them at all, not even a small section. We were fantastic; even at 2-0 down we were loud.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Away support was great we sang like mad to day Steve Howard almost took the conner flag out when he told us to sing louder
Corky Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Very good in terms of numbers, but there seemed to be a lack of unity amongst our fans. Plenty of bitching and in-fighting, as others have said. One problem is people wanting to stand and are placed lower down, while those who want to sit were put nearer the back. We saw at Barnsley that unreserved seating works well, would be useful to have that on more occasions.
Super_horns Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 You did bring a very good number considering the conditions and good vocal backing even in the 1st half when your team were playing poorly. Mind you its not hard to out-sing ours!
Dan Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 2300 odd it was. Shamefully people were sat down on the back row today. The atmosphere would've been even better if it was unreserved seating. I thought virtually the whole end stood?
shiv Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Think our away support on the whole has been outstanding this season. Wasn't at the Watford game but went to Bristol City and thought our fans were brilliant.
Father Ted Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I thought virtually the whole end stood? Like the whole left side and the top right hand corner. The rest sat. The back row in the middle sat!! Pathetic. It's simple, people who don't want to stand - sit at the front. Those who want to stand and sing - stand at the back! Solves all problems! But then, no doubt you'd still get plonkers wanting to sit, sitting at the back either to be turds or to 'feel the atmosphere'. We really tried to get it going at 2-0 down and it paid off (nearly).
Tommeh Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 2-0 down through till h/t was was brilliant. As good as the left hand side were though the right was weak as. Good on the whole I'd say much better than last year. Still far too many wanting to sit when halfway up the stand and even right at the back! for clubs the size of ours expect to stand at aways if not specify tickets down the front. We just took up an isle as usual, got a few steward visits but they wernt shifting 15 odd of us.
Simi Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Personally thought the end was the worst of the season. Loads of shit lads there on the back of the Forest win. Numbers should have produced more when the team were behind and not just when we were on the offensive. Roll on Millwall.
cambridgefox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I was sat near the front GG near the corner flag ,except we didnt sit for the whole match, which was great.i knew it was going to be a good atmosphere as soon as i stepped in Oddfellows,it was heaving and loud, which was great as i went on my own,and didnt have to just stand like a twat with my beer. Didnt see the in fan fighting, but the stewards backed down regarding people wanting to smoke in the open area.To give them some credit,i heard one steward say they could in the corner, and told another steward it would make sense to let people smoke every week as creates less hassle, and i can see the Leicester fans point as it was outside! The front was a bit subdued first half, but was good for the second. Back to oddfellows, my mate phoned me and said he could hardly hear because of the singing ,and told me to get him a ticket next time i go away as he said it sounded mad,he doesnt really support anyone, but goes to a few grounds to watch a match. Thanks to all in the pub for converting him!
