Jon the Hat Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Too fooking funny for words. I almost feel sorry for their fans.
Narborough_fox Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Player revolt lead By Carroll has been reported in a newspaper, can't remember which but I'm on my iPod so can't post a link anyway.
Soar Fox Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Too fooking funny for words. I almost feel sorry for their fans. Alot of people on here were laughing when brendan Rodgers took over at Swansea. I wouldn't be so quick to judge
Zingari Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Alot of people on here were laughing when brendan Rodgers took over at Swansea. I wouldn't be so quick to judge i think it's a smart move taking on Pardew ( if a little harsh on Hughton , but that's modern football )
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Never rated Pardew, can see them struggling.
Jon the Hat Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Alot of people on here were laughing when brendan Rodgers took over at Swansea. I wouldn't be so quick to judge The difference being Pardew has had a shot at a number of clubs, and yet never made a success of it in or near the top flight. To say he is experienced in the realm that Newcastle aspire to is nonsense.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 5 and a half year deal is crazy. No one ever gets a 5 year contract, its usally 3 at the most.
Wycombe Fox Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 5½ year contract??? Bloody hell!! I would read that as Mike Ashley going to try and sell the club again soon, new owners want to bring in their own manager therefore Ashley's mate Pardew gets one heck of a big compensation payment.

Yeah I've heard that new owners could be coming in soon, and that Pardew's rewards are based on success; and if he isn't so successful, there is a reduced compensation package.
FoxyPV Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 A 5 1/2 year deal is really rubbing salt into the wound. Madness.
Babylon Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 The only club who can match us in the laughing stock stakes. Cheers Mike.
Ambitious Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Absolutely rediculous! Mike Ashley is an idiot! Is this guy on drugs? Gets rid of a Manager who has done an absolutely amazing job, then replaces him with a very average Manager who has been sacked in his last three jobs for a run of poor results, last by a club in League One, and gives him a rediculous contract. I wish Chris Hughton all the best, I'm sure he'll be back in the game and hopefully with a Club who hasn't got a fat ugly retard as owner.
Daggers Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 The only way this would be more funny is if it had happened to Leeds (The best supported team in the world tm) United.
J.Lisemore Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Alan ****ing Pardew. oh Jesus. This is brilliant.
Mack Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 The only way to make any sense of recent events at Newcastle is if you put it all down to Ashley taking his revenge on the fans.
Wymsey Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 At this rate i don't think even the club will last 5 years.
StanSP Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 At this rate i don't think even the club will last 5 years. How's that work out?
Ambitious Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Then again I dunno why we're all that surprised, I mean the guy has been known to make really dodgy appointments in the past, first there was Kevin Keegan, who had been out the game for over three years, then there was Joe Kinnear who had been out the game for over four years, his previous job before Newcastle, being with the scumbags Forest, who sacked him because he took them down, then when they were in a relegation dog fight in the last eight games, he appoints Alan Shearer who had no managerial experience whatsoever, and in my opinion made such a pigs ear of it, some of his tactical decisions were retarded, I mean playing Damien Duff, their most dangerous winger at the time as left back? what was the ideotic geordie thinking? and he appointed Dowie as his assistant who had previously taken two clubs down. Then Chris Hughton came along, yes he did an absolutely fantastic job but at the time of his appointment he wasn't exactly every Newcastle fan's dream choice. So thinking about it I don't know why everyone is really that surprised.
