Like him but 90% of his jokes are full of filth now (from what I see of him now anyway, saw about 10mins of some show of his on C4 the other night and all sketches had something to do with wanking lol) Should stick to panel shows

Quite right. He's just constantly attempting (and half arsed at that) to be controversial for the sake of it and completely believing his own hype. His new show is embarrassing.

I always found him pretty funny on Mock the Week personally but sometimes he does seem to go for shock value over comedy value. Don't get me wrong, I love a sick and twisted gag as much as anyone but his latest about Harvey Price wasn't funny, it was just offensive. If however you can nail offensive and funny, you're a genius.

Used to like him on Mock the Week, his stand up's alright, bit controversial, and his new C4 show is horrific.

Good stand-up but just getting so repetitive now. Agree with the comments about his book too, he just genuinely couldn't give a flying fuck.

Off topic slightly but did anyone go to Jim Jeffries' show on Thursday in Leicester (can't remember where)? He's fantastic. Similar style of comedy to Boyle.

I heard Jordan was so upset by it that she nearly didn't dump little Harvey off at nannies for a few weeks while she jetted off to LA for botox

But fortunately she's made of stronger stuff and went anyway

I'm not a fan - we watched a dvd of his on the bus home from a football match and after about 5 minutes it just became incredibly repetitive and boring.

Shock value only works for a finite amount of time.

That's Jimmy Carr

He does specialise in bad taste and sometimes he does go too far but I must admit he makes me roll on the floor laughing sometimes.

For the majority of time he was on mock the week I thought he was funny, but I couldn't agree more with the above.

It seems the popularity he found from the show went to his head and now he's just trying to be contraversial and he's lost his touch.

That new show is just shite.

Well I do love the guy, it's great how he just offends everyone but is funny at the same time.

The only bad thing I have to say is me and the gf went to see him in London about 2 years ago, and his jokes just weren't funny. He was insulting but without the genius hilarity behind it if that makes sense. Also he just recycled a lot of his mock the week jokes. The place had generally a really bad atmosphere, not helped by the atrocious pig who opened for him. He kept calling this guy's girlfriend fat, she got really upset and they walked out. He was pretty fooking fat himself the bald c**t. <_<

he's been around long enough now that people should know what to expect from him so if they don't like that sort of Comedy don't watch instead of complaining

They aren't complaining about the brand of comedy, they're complaining that he's just not much cop at it.

I've always found Frankie Boyle boring. :dunno:

You've got to be really, really good to pull off one-line stand up for an entire set. Stewart Francis is an absolute legend, Frankie Boyle just... isn't funny. Some of his outbursts on Mock The Week do make me giggle but generally speaking he's just crass for the sakes of being crass.

It's not that he offends me in any way, shape or form - my flat mate comes out with worse than he does, on a daily basis - but I just genuinely, honestly, find him very, very boring.

I agree.

Tries to hard for me.
