STUHILL Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 Attwell - 0 Game should never have kicked-off. That's not bitter either. Just a well known fact. That wasn't Football.
J.Lisemore Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 Well i'm not rating, that wasn't even a football match.
Ziggy1990 Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 aye, no point... although Wellens and Vassell were shocking Yuki didn't cover himself in glory with the 3rd goal that said, the whole thing was a mess..... shame on yaaaaw Attwell
Haydos Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 Thought yuki was our stand out player a lot of the time but only because of the anonymity of the rest of the team. He fooked up for the 3rd goal after some good defensive work but other than that he ran his socks off. **** ratings though. All garbage.

Special mentions to Gallagher and King for their particular ineptitude. That said, with that covering of snow it was virtually like playing a different sport
Swalker Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 All were shocking. Couldn't play football on snow but that's no excuse for players like Fryatt to be making 20 yard ground passes into space but passing it 15 yards behind Naughton. TWICE.
brookie637 Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 ref should be sacked what a farse, it was embarrising to watch.
Corky Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 No-one had a half-decent game, Naughton was probably our best of a bad bunch.

To be fair you could argue Yuki was at least partly responsible for the first (not closing down) and third (dwelling on the ball in the box). I certainly wouldn't say he was the stand out player in a good way! To be fair to him though the conditions were probabl the most extreme he has had to deal with since moving from Japan.
clarkeylcfc Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 No-one had a half-decent game, Naughton was probably our best of a bad bunch. Your right naughton was by far our best player. Him and abe were the only players who gave 100% and gotta give him credit for managing to take on so many players in those s**t conditions. Only player that looked dangerous on the ball dont think weve got a chance of keeping him permenantly if he keeps playing like that
Collymore Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 All were shocking. Couldn't play football on snow but that's no excuse for players like Fryatt to be making 20 yard ground passes into space but passing it 15 yards behind Naughton. TWICE. I wouldn't be surprised if he was instructed to do so by our coaching staff. If it looked like the conditons were affecting simple passes, then surely that might add extra evidence for the ref to call it off.
Walshy5 Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 Why are we so bitter? At the end of the day the condiions were the same for both teams but they were up for it and our players just wernt interested!
Jackirius Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 4's for everyone apart from a 6 for Naughton and 5 for Vitor.
broughtonblue Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 Thought Scotland took his goals well. 8 out of 10. (the title of the thread is Ipswich player ratings!)
Thracian Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 Why are we so bitter? At the end of the day the condiions were the same for both teams but they were up for it and our players just wernt interested! It's called excuse making. And it's embarrassing to read. Marbella used the right word. "Bottle". They rolled their sleeves up and coped with the conditions and we didn't want to. Pathetic enough of the players - but even worse when the manager and fans go along with such bullshit. "We shouldnt have played "because Chelsea and Man Utd didn't play". You couldn't make it up. Perhaps we should ring em every week to check what they're doing. I could just hear Sven one day:-. "Sorry ref, we're not playing. United have broken down on the M6 and if they can't play, neither can we."
Finnegan Posted 19 December 2010 Posted 19 December 2010 I do agree, the excuses are a bit ridiculous. It's alright saying that we couldn't play passing football in those conditions but a good team adapts and, let's be fair, we have plenty of experience playing hoofball. But at the same time I don't think it's worth getting overly worked up about, our away form is a concern but I don't think you can use this as a measure for anything. It WAS a freak game.

"Sorry ref, we're not playing. United have broken down on the M6 and if they can't play, neither can we." There's a high risk of skin cancer in August - we don't want to be rolling up our sleeves then. I've watched matches in thick fog, snow & ice and where they used to actually allow players to tackle - although it all feels part of a distant dream now. Yesterday's pitch was in a better state than Walsall's a couple of seasons back - and yet, oddly, no one kicked up about that one. Now, we have a mindset where everything is always someone(thing) else's fault and freephone lawyers can sort it all out. The histrionics on the forum don't bode well for a happy Xmas in many Leicester homes. No sooner will the Jenga or Charades begin then the cries of "it's not fair" will flood the air.
