StanSP Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Only 28, I thought he was older than that. Me too, but if you're Nigerian, no-one knows how old you are!! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/21/nigerian-football-age-old-problem
m00nie Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 when its on the official site... or maybe a day or two later when the muppet is at the press conference or when hes read foxestalk for the latest info ..
ibbosuk Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Never thought this would actually happen but wow if Sven has pulled it off Well I was reporting that we would sign Yakubu THIS WEEK................... (((10.30))) THIS MORNING !!!!!
MikeyT Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 If he signs permanently then probably Waghorn will move to QPR. Why?
Kitchandro Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Wow awesome news. Ignore the idiots some of us know who you are who???
MikeyT Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 or when hes read foxestalk for the latest info .. I may have already tweeted him for info
Ozwin Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Signings like this worry me, we must be paying him ****ing loads.
Wymsey Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Why? He was seen there a week ago by some officials
MikeyT Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 He was seen there a week ago by some officials Ooooh ok, didny know that.
sdb Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Bert said Waggy was staying. Yakubu could be amazing, could be Bednar MKII. Attitude (& weight) are my concerns. But great statement of ambition.
Kitchandro Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Am I the only one who's not getting excited by this yet? He was a very good player but he's been out of form for quite a while and just looks fat and lazy nowadays. I'm not saying he'll fail but I'm not without concerns. And I really hope this doesn't spell the end for Waghorn.
SMX11 Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 We might resort to 4-4-2 (well I hope we do) Yak and Vass up front, pretty potent at this level.

ScouseFox Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Cheers brfc24 Would be pretty happy with this is he's up for it, he could walk this league all over again.
Thracian Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Even as a guy who thought Yakubu had stacks of talent, I'm cautious about this. David Moyes is a capable manager. He will know exactly what Yakubu can do, yet he's involved him so little in a team that's hardly prolific up front. Why?. Has he been nursing injuries? Has he been forced to miss most of the training to save aggravating injuries? I don't know cos i don't much follow Everton. Sven might know the reasons but believe even a part-time contribution will be valuable. But things like that still bother me. Bednar and Kirkland came with reputations and look what we got? I'm not saying or suggesting Yakubu will be the same but I just hope Sven's asked the questions and double-checked the answers. Assuming he comes of course.

Don't really want to change the formation considering how we played against Man City. Certainly not at home. I've been very impressed with Vassell lately too.

And I really hope this doesn't spell the end for Waghorn. I don't think you can sign a player without concerns these days but the fact he is only 28 and also seeing what he could do well fully fit and in form, it's definitely a risk worth taking in opinion. It gives the Thai's their big name signing too so will keep them happy, plus we get potentially the best striker on paper in the Championship! (Ignoring Bellamy ) Does anyone know whether it's a loan or permanent?
Kitchandro Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Really who is this brfc guy? A lot of interesting hints...
