Yakubu - sort of confirmed

Am I the only one who's not getting excited by this yet?

He was a very good player but he's been out of form for quite a while and just looks fat and lazy nowadays.

I'm not saying he'll fail but I'm not without concerns.

And I really hope this doesn't spell the end for Waghorn.

I have concerns too, wages, possible fee, fitness and desire but I agree with Sdb in that it could be a masterstroke, he could boss this league and find some form he has lost recently.

He could do a Bednar but hopefully not.

speaking of Bednar, since he was shit for us and left, it seems everything he said about not going back was grade a bullsh*t...

Really who is this brfc guy? A lot of interesting hints...

As someone has said in this thread, he's got connections with City and has provided worthwhile info previously.

Could be a good signing BUT ifeel a loan move with the option of a permanent move agreed in the summer would be the best way to go atm , as i feel there seems too many if's and but regarding his fitness and form imo

Even as a guy who thought Yakubu had stacks of talent, I'm cautious about this. David Moyes is a capable manager. He will know exactly what Yakubu can do, yet he's involved him so little in a team that's hardly prolific up front. Why?.

Has he been nursing injuries? Has he been forced to miss most of the training to save aggravating injuries? I don't know cos i don't much follow Everton. Sven might know the reasons but believe even a part-time contribution will be valuable. But things like that still bother me.

Bednar and Kirkland came with reputations and look what we got? I'm not saying or suggesting Yakubu will be the same but I just hope Sven's asked the questions and double-checked the answers. Assuming he comes of course.

Why do I keep agreeing with you, it's just not right.

Although fair to say this guy is a step up from Bednar and Kirkland. Every signing is a gamble I suppose, just have to go along for the ride.

If this is true it`s fantastic!

But don´t worry about players out. I think we must have a good team all over and this will probably be a problem for players not willing to be second.

But if we shall go up premier we must have it!

Or am I wrong?

Only 28, I thought he was older than that.

That's his European age. His African age is 38.

Agree. I would be wary of this too. He's done feck all for about 2 years now, and he's a bit injury prone. Hope he proves me wrong though.
