Hes goin nowhere soon, coz he wouldnt have signed a contract extension a few weeks back

To be fair, Waghorn signed for £2m in August, and I don't think many would have envisaged him heading out on loan this January.

Sven's revolution is happening!

Looks like the owners are going shit or bust on promotion this season, from the position we're in the odds are significantly less than 50:50 I hope we never have to find out what 'Plan B' is

Aint so sure on Howard being allowed to leave on loan, Okay Svens signed the Yak, but Howards a completely different player. Dont know why people dont rate him to be honest...

Co's he does not score goals (((THATS WHY)))

Didn't Sousa sort that one out?

It was whilst he was in charge, but I don't think that means it was definitely his doing, same goes for signing Waggy

Luckily people understand that there's far more to football than scoring goals, such as winning the ball in the air, holding the ball up, playing other players in. Players should only be allowed to leave if they're being improved on else what's the point

Do you really want to do 20ish games plus the cup with no back-up?

Steve Howard signs new Leicester City contract

Howard celebrates his winner against Leeds at Elland Road

Leicester City striker Steve Howard has signed a new deal which keeps him at the club until June 2012.

The towering 34-year-old forward, who scored the winner in Tuesday's 2-1 win at Leeds, joined in January 2008.

He helped City win the League One title the following season and made 36 league appearances as the club reached the play-off semi-finals last term.

Delighted Foxes executive director Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn said: "We hope he can continue to display his good form."

Howard, who signed for £1.5m from Derby County after an initial loan spell, has scored 29 goals in 101 starts for the club.

Raksriaksorn added: "Steve is a very determined player and has the character we are looking for as we strive to progress."

Howard began his Football League career with Hartlepool and also had spells with Northampton and Luton before moving to Derby where he won promotion to the Premier League.

Not sure this should have happened, we have moved on terms of quality from the Stevie Howard days. But hey I guess he raises morale in the camp.

We should offer him the vacant coaching position. I reckon if Nigel Pearson stayed for a couple more months he would have got rid of the shit we have in Howard, Oakley etc

Do you not remember pearson's love of oakley on the right wing last season?

Anyway, he's been gone for half a year now, get over it.

Am not saying I miss him, am just saying he was looking to sell them, Howard to Huddersfield? Oakley to Peterbrough/Palace? Neilson back to Hearts etc. He stopped playing Oakley once we signed Spearing last January. He was here long enough to realise that these players were past it. Then Sousa came in and put them all back in the starting line up and now Sven believes they are still vital to City...NO THEY'RE NOT!!

Agree to an extent, but I wouldn't say Sven thinks that they are vital. A few minutes here and there at the end of the game and we are not exactly blessed with the depth on the subs bench. The only reason Howard played against Man City was that we had inuries and Waghorn looks to be on the way out.

I'm happy with the first XI, just a bit concerned at a lack of back up in certain positions.

We will be bringing in a number of players this week, before our next match! Why do people keep banging on about not having enough strength in depth. We ALL know Sven will be bringing in new talent!

To clear up some #lcfc player Twitter confusion, @kingy_10 IS Leicester's favourite welshman, @officialbamb is NOT our Ivorian sensation
