StanSP Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Hes goin nowhere soon, coz he wouldnt have signed a contract extension a few weeks back To be fair, Waghorn signed for £2m in August, and I don't think many would have envisaged him heading out on loan this January. Sven's revolution is happening!
Criggers Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Hes goin nowhere soon, coz he wouldnt have signed a contract extension a few weeks back Didn't Sousa sort that one out?
MikeyT Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Didn't Sousa sort that one out? Yup EDIT: Actually not sure!
cc_star Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Looks like the owners are going shit or bust on promotion this season, from the position we're in the odds are significantly less than 50:50 I hope we never have to find out what 'Plan B' is
ibbosuk Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Aint so sure on Howard being allowed to leave on loan, Okay Svens signed the Yak, but Howards a completely different player. Dont know why people dont rate him to be honest... Co's he does not score goals (((THATS WHY)))
lestajigs Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 hell if we get rid off waghorn and Howard on loan were only going to have 2 proven strikers in our squad, surely they both won't go!!
shailen Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Didn't Sousa sort that one out? I am sure it was sven, a few weeks after he came into the job.
ajthefox Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Didn't Sousa sort that one out? It was whilst he was in charge, but I don't think that means it was definitely his doing, same goes for signing Waggy
cc_star Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 Co's he does not score goals (((THATS WHY))) Luckily people understand that there's far more to football than scoring goals, such as winning the ball in the air, holding the ball up, playing other players in. Players should only be allowed to leave if they're being improved on else what's the point Do you really want to do 20ish games plus the cup with no back-up?
MPH Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 age last updated at 14:40 GMT, Thursday, 21 October 2010 15:40 UKE-mail this to a friend Printable version Steve Howard signs new Leicester City contract Steve Howard Howard celebrates his winner against Leeds at Elland Road Leicester City striker Steve Howard has signed a new deal which keeps him at the club until June 2012. The towering 34-year-old forward, who scored the winner in Tuesday's 2-1 win at Leeds, joined in January 2008. Delighted Foxes executive director Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn said: "We hope he can continue to display his good form." Howard, who signed for £1.5m from Derby County after an initial loan spell, has scored 29 goals in 101 starts for the club. Raksriaksorn added: "Steve is a very determined player and has the character we are looking for as we strive to progress." Howard began his Football League career with Hartlepool and also had spells with Northampton and Luton before moving to Derby where he won promotion to the Premier League. sven was appointed Oct 3rd
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Haha. One of the departures will be a loan, surely? Waghorn? waghorn can only be loaned in this season. in august he can be sold Thanks for clearing up something I already knew.
muzzy1981 Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 sven was appointed Oct 3rd Not sure this should have happened, we have moved on terms of quality from the Stevie Howard days. But hey I guess he raises morale in the camp.
Finnegan Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I understand football. Howard still isn't good enough.
RizLCFC Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 We should offer him the vacant coaching position. I reckon if Nigel Pearson stayed for a couple more months he would have got rid of the shit we have in Howard, Oakley etc
The Doctor Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 We should offer him the vacant coaching position. I reckon if Nigel Pearson stayed for a couple more months he would have got rid of the shit we have in Howard, Oakley etc Do you not remember pearson's love of oakley on the right wing last season? Anyway, he's been gone for half a year now, get over it.

Am not saying I miss him, am just saying he was looking to sell them, Howard to Huddersfield? Oakley to Peterbrough/Palace? Neilson back to Hearts etc. He stopped playing Oakley once we signed Spearing last January. He was here long enough to realise that these players were past it. Then Sousa came in and put them all back in the starting line up and now Sven believes they are still vital to City...NO THEY'RE NOT!!
Zingari Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 does anyone else think that the thread title sounds like jonathon ross trying to say " swingers street " ?
Rodders Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Thoughts? Noticeable lack of any transfer activity at the club this week. Stringer really does talk some crap, doesn't he?! <_<

Agree to an extent, but I wouldn't say Sven thinks that they are vital. A few minutes here and there at the end of the game and we are not exactly blessed with the depth on the subs bench. The only reason Howard played against Man City was that we had inuries and Waghorn looks to be on the way out. I'm happy with the first XI, just a bit concerned at a lack of back up in certain positions.

Why do people keep banging on about not having enough strength in depth. We ALL know Sven will be bringing in new talent!

StanSP Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Charles Dagnell says there is going to be some news regarding LCFC in the next half hour. Davies is coming back.
grth2004 Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 IanStringerBBC Ian Stringer To clear up some #lcfc player Twitter confusion, @kingy_10 IS Leicester's favourite welshman, @officialbamb is NOT our Ivorian sensation i feel conned
Kenners Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Charles Dagnell says there is going to be some news regarding LCFC in the next half hour. That was about N'guessen and Van Aanholt I think.
Solihullfox Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 That was about N'guessen and Van Aanholt I think. If fit was the "news" Dagnall alluded to, he has now added himself to the list if tits who spout utter crap on Radio Leicester ....just wish they would stop the self important bollocks and stop sensationalising ....please !!
